I heard this song for the first time in the middle of fall, as I was going through my very first heartbreak with a rather toxic dude. I felt so empty and sad, and held on to this record for dear life. I felt so heard and so understood and my feelings felt so valid and legit. I now look back on this song with so much melancholia and nostalgia, because it will always take me back to this time of my life. It truly got me through such dark stuff. I could never be thankful enough for this experience, for the way I felt like I wasn’t all alone in my hurt. I love you lads, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This is so beautiful and this gives a brand new yet beautiful twist to the song, people singing along as if it was speaking to everyone. I attended the 5sos show tour, my very first time seeing my favorite band live after 8 long years of wait, and hearing this song live healed so many parts of me. I stood there in the crowd as if some weigh had been lifted off my shoulders. Life was so worth living, I felt so alive, thriving even, in a room full of people that got me like nobody ever did. 🤍 5sos for ever. 🫶🏻
