It would so much more helpful to tell people your community section in under the store tab. Nothing intuitive just saying community section. Took way too much time to finally find it. Nice video.

@@bobm2331 Hi Bob. Hmmmm. Im not sure why your community section would be coming up under the store tab. Mine comes up under the community section on the main page. Sorry if you are having trouble. I hadnt heard anyone say that before. Well, Im glad you found it. Happy potting!

Ann, if you were going to buy just one diamond core tool, which would it be? I am always looking for nice carving tools but then not willing to pay the price for diamond core, are they worth the price if you do a lot of carving?
@annruel1982 Жыл бұрын
Hey Vicki! Thanks so much for watching. That is a tricky question as each tool does different things. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve. I use the spinning trimmer all the time for dividing the piece into sections. I use the extruder tools to make mug handles more than I find myself pulling handles these days. I use the fluting tools when I am demonstrating fluting. I use the triangle tool when I am making pieces with the reverse facets. You just have to figure out what carving you want to try and then go from there. Hope that helps.

I wonder if baroque classic French and Italian designs can be possible by creating small to medium size patters of grapevines and English ivy. Pretty beautiful. Thank you for carving ideas. I wish you were my teacher 🥺😫

I am delighted to have found you and your wonderful videos!! How thick are the walls of the pieces you are carving? I use 1/4” thickness on my slabs but is that too thin for bas relief? Thanks so much.
@LittleStreetPottery Жыл бұрын
I use 1/4" as well - that should work well for you - thanks.

Can these effects be done at painted pottery shop? My friend and I often go paint pottery pieces together, and I was curious if I could achieve a 'carved' effect by scraping away at the dried paint layers.
@annareed56112 ай бұрын
Most of the time, the pottery at “painted pottery shop” are already bisque fired so carving the clay wouldn’t really be an option. Scraping away the paint only would still be cool looking though
