Totally delightful video, thank you. Listening to you is a pleasure. I've got my eye on that wrap skirt, which I wouldn't have considered if I hadn't seen it here. My daughter-in-law and I would both love it. I especially appreciate that, in addition to making beautiful patterns, you are thinking of practical matters, such as the option for long sleeves and a below-knee-length skirt that prevents sticking to chairs. Plus, a wrap skirt that doesn't open! Maybe it's my age, but I no longer have the patience for fussy clothes. A language note: I find it curious that in English, double-stitched seams are called French seams, while in French they're called English seams!

Thanks a lot for your message and feedback on the KIA skirt ! Concerning the language note : I too would love to know why it is called "French seams" or "English seams" depending on the language ! Have a beautiful day !

I really appreciate you doing this video in English. I enjoyed learning more about these patterns and my French is just too rusty tö be able to follow easily. English isn't my first language either, but I use it daily in my job so I am much more fluent. Merci ❤

The Kia skirt is beautiful! I just have a question about pattern matching. If you use a striped fabric, will the stripes match at the center back seam? On your website, you have a picture of this skirt in white with thin black stripes. It looks like the stripes don't match at CB. Maybe the way this skirt is designed, you will not be able to match the stripes at the CB seam, or maybe it just doesn't show in the picture.

Hello and thank you for your question ! You are absolutely right, the stripes don't match at CB, this is how the skirt is designed ! However, you can totally cut the back x2 : this will allow you to match the CB seam. Don't forget to remove the back from the other pattern piece (the side seam is indicated on the pattern, so this is very easy to do !) Kind regards, Monty
