@@050138 while watching Don, audiences can still understand that he is doing crimes, as he doesn't have any moral, at the same time, the film itself doesn't try to connect with his character emotionally as well,that's how the balance should be...the problem arises when a particular character is portrayed as "achhe khase khandan ka launda" with moral values, still doing mischievous things with others, eve teasing girls along with that heroism based emotional BGM, at last he doesn't face any consequence or simply say ""karma"", then that's the dangerous thing...that's called forcefeeding the audiences to get connected to that character.!

Man I remember watching Dil Se when I was young and appreciated everything about that movie. Recently watched it. Manisha Koirala specifically tells SRK to stop following her, stop asking for her, even says she’s married to get rid of him. But he still continues to keep pursuing her and doesn’t take no for an answer. Srk in one scene also forcefully kisses her, after which she has a full blown panic attack. I legit felt bad for her character.

I don't know why people hail DIL SE as a masterpiece. Monisha's character was a ULFA militant cadre from Assam. And I hate it that even a phenomenal filmmaker like Maniratnam focused only on the shallow lovestory of SRK's character. Not on the plight of Monisha's character. No wonder the film failed miserably in Assam. Apart from the beautiful songs and cinematography, for me there was nothing in that film.

Unfortunately this is pretty common here. When i was in 9 th grade a guy from 12th grade did the same i was scared to talk to him directly since he was a senior and vice captain of the school but i knew some girls from his class and they told him for me numerous time that i want him to stop yet he didn't listen it got to the point i was even scared of going to school. This one time he even threatened to kill himself but his friends managed the situation luckily since he was in 12th the following year i didnt have to go through shit again. Years later when i confronted him about this he just simple said that "i was just staring whats wrong with that " i was disgusted and shocked as to what the heck was even going on his mind. Some of my friends also have similar experience and i really hope people start realizing how creepy this shit is and that when it comes to advice regarding love bollywood isnt the place you should be looking for.

Every romantic comedy has the same theme, two opposite quality of people falling in love with each other in the end. I came across social media that those scenes were removed for the benefit of family audience, but to my surprise those scenes were there in the movie. @@_K73595 He compared himself to Jally Reddy and wondered whether he was as morally depraved as him. And yet went on to carry out his problematic act of buying the girl's affection. You can't argue that he didn't kiss her after all when he initiated the whole process against her consent in the first place. Also her desire to watch a Chiranjeevi movie in return for giving a smile to Pushpa was more out of a sense of innocence than morally flawed tendencies. Pushpa did note even after that it is improper to treat women as commodities to be bought with cash. Yet in the very next moment he decided to buy a kiss with more cash. This angle of establishing a relationship with a woman is wrong.

In "rehna hai tere dil mai" R Madhavan's character portrayal is quite bizzare and this is not defendable in any way possible. I don't know but these things were subconsciously synched in people's mind during that era ..... Cause films are the way one would see the world. These types of films are socially problematic.

every time I watch a MATLAB KUCH BHI episode..I'm so in utter annoyance and disbelief with my own film watching experiences when I was younger..scenes from movies like AARU were okay to me when i watched them as a kid, but now MY GAWD the cringe!! And I being a Tamilian very vividly remember asking my parents when i was a kid that "why do the heroes refer to their female lead or heroines as FIGURE or ITEM?" they didnt have an answer to give to me or my mom and dad would brush off the topic saying that it was a joke..Now is that i understood that it was OBJECTIFICATION and what not?! please keep the MATLAB KUCH BHI series a constant in your channel!!! its an eye opener and needs to be seen by more!

Hi Anmol, I just wanna let you know that your videos truly make a difference. I study in Canada and my Indian friend told me that there are specific internally misogynistic things that are often subtly normalised, but since you point them out consistently throughout your analyses, it spreads massive awareness regarding it. Thank you.

To the all people stop using this word MISOGYNIST as it became very common to one and all . Misogynist - one who hates women. It's GYNEPHILIC one who loves to have sexual relationship with women. I don't think if you hate someone, will you have sex with ? If really want to know how MISOGYNIST be like then watch telugu film Manmadhudu(2002). Real MISOGYNIST never stalk women.
@srishtishekhar3971
@srishtishekhar3971 2 жыл бұрын
@@enemyb4u the idea of misogyny comes from not simply “hating women” it’s deeper than that. It’s about objectifying, mistreating and/or discriminating against women. This idea of craving sexual relationships with women without caring about consent insinuates that the person views the woman as an object of sex and not a human being. That is deeply rooted in misogyny. But that being said, thank you for educating me with another accurate definition of such behaviour.

I remember watching 'Chalte Chalte' on TV with my parents. As a child, I enjoyed the first half but was terribly bored in the second part. Hence I just wanted it to end soon and I knew that it won't happen unless Rani forgives Shahrukh. So I was like, why doesn't she just go back to him while my innocent mother expecting a mature climax explained that she can't because he insults her everyday. Then it happened and my mom agreed that Indian women are gonna be like that! 🤐

Most people label girls consenting to physical touch or girls liking/ loving someone else as extremely cheap and ‘easy’ (a label which I disgust). Hence they are shown to have have been forced or manipulated into loving someone so that the purity of their character is not altered. I’ve seen way too many “easy= non-desirable” female characters in movies 😓
