If the profession paid a proper wage there would be no need for side hustles. No other profession requires so much education, training, State registration, continuing education, knowledge, experience, creative talent, engineering understanding, and liability for so little money.

It really is an undervalued profession, sadly.

Dont know about you....but I'm making bank...wish more Architect's would be honest about it. Its not tech but its highly comparable to a Lawyer or in some cases a Surgeon. But granted its a managment position and its highly in demand.

If you want to make big money as an architect you either have to climb the ladder to be a director or principal architect; opening your own firm which most likely will take years before you can automatize it , or get deeper in the construction sector and become a contractor so you can build your own buildings. That’s probably the ultimate position every architect want to be at, but again is going to take years if not decades getting there.

I just landed on this video. Really helpful. I started to become an architectural communicator (I have experience in Marketing and worked in architecture studios ) I am considering opening a KZbin channel. How should I start? do you have any advice? Thanks for the video.

hi amir what could be a nice platform to get hand sketching jobs in architecture ?
@amirhosseinnoori2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I would make an amazing portfolio and send it to small architectures practices via email, linked in etc! Also get traction on your social media. That’s your best platform

Idk why but this sounds a bit pyramid schemish. Like this profession doesn't pay enough but I can make money off of the people who don't know this yet and so I can teach things and that pays more than the profession itself. I'm not saying you are doing anything wrong it is just something I have observed. I am studying interior architecture atm.
@amirhosseinnoori Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your observation. I think there is a great value in teaching people things that can help them. I have trained more than 500 architects/students so far in different subjects, many of whom reach out to me to tell me about how they were successful in landing projects, job offers or been offered a place in their dream university. I have found teaching hugely rewarding while most of my contents are for free! My main source of income is from my architecture and interior projects but that wasn’t the case until I quitted my job and worked for myself. What I’m trying to say in this video is to think entrepreneurial and don’t necessarily follow the path others force you to pursue!
