Actually shame and guilt don't come from God. He correct you out of love, but shame isn't attached to that. Shame comes from the enemy. When you ask God to forgive you. He do it right then and there. It sounds like you need to forgive yourself. Forgive others as well if needed, and separate from people and things that will entice you to sin. Fast, pray, seek God's face, and study His word. Everything will be alright in Jesus name, and all is well in Jesus name. Amen. Now walk in it and receive it in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.

@@amy6991A I can’t hear him audibly either but he speaks to me/confirms to me by repetition and the Holy Spirit comes over me and I know it’s Him. It can be seeing/hearing the same scripture in various ways and those ways are completely separate from each other, random from one another. It’s an unexplainable feeling but for me I can’t miss it! Pray and ask God to reveal Himself to you, ask for discernment, ask to open your eyes, ears and heart to allow to be sensitive to His spirit. This video came very timely. I liked a girl about 2 months ago, but she chose someone else. No big deal, if we are not meant to be, it's fine. But the weird thing is whenever I got reminded of her, I got a very strong rush feeling. Which is strange. She has a boyfriend, I don't want to feel anything for someone taken. But this went on and on. My mind is sober, I can live without her, but my heart can't. That makes me think my feelings are telling me I should not let her go, but she is still taken, and I'm not going to change that. Note that this has never happened to any other girl, it usually takes a few days to a week, but 2 months and going? Last night I prayed and told everything to God, and now this video popped up. I have to go with point 1. My feelings are misleading me, because reality shows she is taken and growing in her relationship. Something my mind already figured out, but my heart can't seem to do. God please remove these feelings and guide me to the girl you have for me!

I've just recently ended in a situation where this nice and pretty girl that I seem to have much common with, is clearly interested in me. There's a catch, she's not a christian. She belives that there's afterlife and seeks for a serious relationship, but she doesn't share the Faith in Jesus. This has put me into a difficult situation. I've been single for a while and prior attempts and encounters with christian singles haven't been very successful. I've also got to know some girls from my local church with no further success either. Yesterday and today I've really playing with this idea of dating this non-christian person. But it has brought me contradicting feelings. Just like in this video, it has made me to seek loopholes from the Word and compromise myself. Then this video popped into my feed. I realised this might be a sign of getting sidetracked from godly life. Advices and prayers are welcome!

Hello Mark. My "feelings" for a person I've know for the past year are leading me to want to fully brush up on God's word. It's something I've put on the back burner for a while now due to my tendency to overanalyze all the technicalities of the Gospel & what God wants in my life. My overthinking has always caused me to just delay/procrastinate educating myself like I originally wanted to out of self-confusion. Despite knowing God can do anything, I still always get this overwhelming fear of things not working out in my life, because all I've ever known is disappointment, thus diminishing my motivation to really try doing anything at all in life.. However, meeting this person has changed that for me. They motivate me to want to finish fully learning about the Gospel, both for my own Salvation & also to be ready to teach them about & or lead them to Jesus if the chance came. Despite my initial impressions, I've really grown to care for this person. By comparison, they are a lot more "Worldly" than myself, which is what originally turned me off to them. Regardless of that tho, we've still winded up becoming great friends. This person has a very good heart, similar to mine, but I still don't know if they are either a blessing from God, or a distraction from Satan. The subject of God/Jesus has come up a few times in the period that I've known them. It's clear to me that nobody has ever fully taught them about All Jesus did & his full purpose with God's plan, thus they are confused and in turn reject Jesus due to lack of information, just like I did at one point. I feel like with a little guidance, they could achieve a better understanding and maybe even accept Christ into their life, thus making me feel a lot more comfortable trying to possibly persue a relationship with this person in future when I'm fully ready. What do you think about all this? I'm curious.

Pray to be guided by the Holy Spirit. If they continue to reject the Lord, and turn from Him, even when you share your faith with them, then this person is not the one that the Lord has intended for you. The Lord comes first, and the desire to serve Him, and make Him the focal point, in your vocation, is key. He is the ultimate gift giver, and He never makes mistakes. Truly invest in Him, and turn to the Lord for guidance. If the person continues to reject the Lord, after your help, then you have the answer to leave them to their own devices. Never settle, and never lose sight of the Lord for anyone. 🙏

Wow, its like im reading a comment about my life right now. Believe me its exactly the same for me. This person also has a really good heart and similar values to mine. He is not a believer tho. However, when I talked about my faith he seemed genuinely curious since he has a lot of misinformation of who God is. My relationship with him has also encouraged me to learn more and pray for them. I am even okay with just being friends even though i really like them. The problem is he is afraid of a commitment and sometimes pushes me away with certain actions. I am unsure like you if God put him in my life or if its satan trying to distract me. Videos like this confuse me even more. I will just continue to lean on the Lord and his will and continue praying for discernment over this situation.

**Edited/Refined - Thank-you, for those who respond. Hey Mark, less common but still possible is God's ability to speak (and give signs) in many ways other than his Word (but often it should point back to His Word to dig deeper). For myself, God has actually used things in my environment (based on circumstances in my life) to speak to me. Whatever it was that happened to me or around me, I sometimes might interpret as a sign from God. Sometimes its the environment or events (his creation or an event around me, in some way, and that are highly symbolic experiences) to speak to me. They are more rare but have taken place before. It doesn't happen every day, and I would say its dangerous to be hyper connecting every little thing. Constantly looking for signs isn't healthy but often if God does use something around me to speak to me it is becasue I have simply been praying deep to God in my own heart and privacy waiting for him to respond to something that is very important to me. But throughout my life God has spoken to my family in dreams, sometimes visions, and sometimes what we call "Extremely 'coincidental' occurrences". I would classify these as signs from God because they are timely, rare, and very specific things that take place that strikes an immediate cord in the spirit. But I suppose the biggest thing is what kind of fruit is produced when we claim God speaks to us? Would you agree that a good piece of evidence it was from God, is to ask ourselves... What actions/attitudes/thoughts take place after we claim to hear from God? For me if fruit is produced (the fruits of the spirit) and it draws us closer to God in his Word, then ultimately I can assure myself that it was indeed God talking to me. These signs however, are accompanied with pre-existing context to something God has already done in my life... that connects them as evidence... (Meaning I dont arbitrarily connect things together, and wish them into existence... there is reasonable connections between the events and to what God is already doing in my life) Thanks for your reply if you do!

Hey I’ve been there. I spent my time looking at where others were and comparing my circumstances to them. It’s very lonely, depressing, and a lost way to live. God has it all figured out so don’t think you have to!! Use this as a season to be calm, be still and just look inward and upward to God. When it comes down to it feelings are basically a poor barometer for decision-making. It's best to approach things according to God's will, which we may come to love and understand through prayer/Bible study/worship. If it's a major decision in life we can seek multiple avenues of counsel when the decision may be a bit unclear for us. In many cases, however, using the Bible as a moral compass is the best approach. It may not have specific insight into every possible scenario on earth, but when it doesn't it typically has a lot of insight to offer on similar situations. In effect, it is timeless and we are accessing the portion of God's infinite wisdom He has allotted to us. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He has our best interests at heart and loves us more than we can even fathom. Truly, who better to reach out to when we're being misled? Let's not allow emotional instability or lack of self-control to lead us astray. We need a much better foundation because even the best of us have our fickle moments. Although, I'm from a different faith background, I believe my personal values are very congruent with Christianity. Im deeply spiritual and totally believe in the power of God. I am i regular communication with God and Im always trying to interpret actions, events, situations and outcomes, I've been single for the last 5 years after my divorce and hardly dated anyone, however I've been seeing a guy for the last 3 weeks that I believe there is mutual attraction.We've met four times on hangout treks rather than dating per se. I think that I am at the stage where I need to now convey my feelings for him before I get in any deeper. After watching your videos I am trying to understand my feelings and God's intentions on whether he is the right person. This guy has a history of depression and anxiety and Im a high functioning, healthy person and tbh, he is not the kind of guy I would date as we are so different, but I cannot deny my strong feelings of attraction which are essentially sensual and asthetic at this stage. I am confused because I am from Africa and in my part of Africa, there are normally three steps : 1 is the customary/traditional wedding, then 2 is the civil wedding and 3 is the church wedding. We did the first and moved in together though I felt this was too fast. I'd found out she'd been having an affair and even got pregnant for someone else. I was devastated and hurt and wanted to leave her but couldn't quite bring myself to do it. She cried and begged and I stayed with her but I'd not healed from the pain. We started having sx and I kept feeling like this was wrong. On top of this,we had gone for our electrophoresis test and it said we were both carriers and would have one in three children with sickle cell disease. We were supposed to end the relationship immediately at that stage but I was crazy about losing her and though I had no peace,I stayed with her. My family and friends were in complete opposition to everything but i wouldn't listen. She told me we'd be together. But once she got an opportunity to go to the States,she deliberately created problems and faulted me. Our relationship was full of arguments and fights. I tried to make it work in vain. Was i wrong to move in with her when we hadn't completed other stages? I find myself thinking about her and dreaming about her and I'm not sure if this is because of the intercourse or love. I feel that I love her but I look at the circumstances and reality around and they don't match. She left as we speak so what do I do? I need someone to talk to. Someone who will listen caringly.

@@jabezraju9840 I am sorry that you feel that way. I do not know your story and what led you to that conclusion. Your experience is real and your pain is real. I can say that many times we do have to wait for promises to be fulfilled, and the wait can sometimes be frustrating. It is always worth it though. There are numerous stories in the Bible where God kept His promises, and did even more. Jesus has no desire to deceive anyone. Rather it is the devil who is the father of lies. He deceives all day every day. He deceived even angels and we are all targets of his schemes because he wants as many of us to join him in the lake of fire as possible. It is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved. I hope and pray that you will come to know the truth that will set you free, before it is too late. Bless you.
