I was in the worst state of illness that you can imagine and i knew God was there. My body was failing but my soul still sang out to God and he didn't leave me....i found comfort thru the darkness knowing God is with me. Even today living with the side effects of pain 24/7. There's no physical relief... but God is so good. Today after 2 years of complete pain i woke a mercy filled God. I woke to almost no pain and in my excitement i texted my dearest friend and my aunt the exciting news. Dear Lord i need your help with loneliness and no Support from my Daughter and my Son. I have been abandoned from them. My daughter keeps putting me down. I seem to be always wrong when it comes to her. She never brings my Grandson over to see me. I find her to be so disrespectful. She goes everywhere else, but not to see me. When he was young, i would go to her home and take care of him. I loved it. I would clean, cook anything that i needed to do, i did. Now, i am older and not well, with chronic pain and depressed. I'm sorry you're in such a tough situation. I don 't know all the nuances of your situation, I want to ask, in your prayers, have you asked to have a restful and peaceful heart as you navigate whatever situation your family is going through? Maybe before God blesses you with better situation, He wants you to desire and thirst for Him. Psalm 84 comes to mind, the psalmist said his flesh and heart faint for the courts of the Lord. Are you "fainting" to be with God above a "better situation"? Or is your idea of God's answer is only when the situation gets better? I know speaking for myself, He has allowed prolonged struggling so that it drives me to Him first and foremost. Trials and hardship exposes the treasures of our hearts and where our hearts rest. We find that it may treasure even "good things" above Christ. For me, and this is not to compare my situation and yours but how God is allowing a prolonged struggle in my life. I've been praying for a husband but He hasn't answered, I have cried and struggled about this for a long time, but these days, I realize that I have treasured 'having a husband" above being in a relationship with Christ. By all means don't stop praying for your family, but maybe He wants to deal with your heart first and foremost before answering your prayer.
