Vibration is more noticeable at low rpm's, like when you are in gear or drive and waiting at lights. Typically a motor smooths out at high rpm's, although when you accelerate the power may lift the engine if your mounts are bad, but this isn't a vibrate its more a clunk as the engine drops back down.

Other symptoms could include vehicle pull that resembles alignment issues, hard steering on one or both sides. If all mounts are bad front end wobble that resembles a suspension issue can shift from one side to another. Impact noises especially heard at low speeds that can resemble worn sway bar linkage. Squeaking or grinding noises to one or both sides on sharp turns. Transmission clunk in higher gears. Jolting ride resembling worn suspension. A loud clunking noise after start and/or at shutoff. Not an expensive fix

Vibrating upon acceleration and then smooth when off the gas is another sign. The best way to tell is to open the bonnet place the car in gear and give it the gas while braking. The engine will jump if the mount is broken

Most of this information is false. You'll have more vibration at idle, especially in gear. The belts are mounted to the engine and will not wear out due to bad mounts. Pop the hood and watch for excessive movement of the engine as you shift from reverse to drive while holding brakes down. There you go, good info without yelling or tweaked out behavior.

Actually the engine still move the mounts are designed to stop harsh vibrations to be felt be the driver. The crank shaft pulley that the belt rides on is also a balancer that helps with vibrations too. If you look at an engine at idle why’ll it running you will see it vibrates a little the mounts are made of rubber that dampens the vibrations when the rubber gets old and cracks it can’t dampen the vibrations anymore and you will start too feel more vibrations in the cabin. But no engine is perfectly vibration free.

Easy way to see if your motor mounts are bad is to have someone sit in the vehicle, start the vehicle, hokd the brake down and put the vehicle in drive and give is a little throttle while hokding the brake. The other oerson needs to be wstchijg the engine (with the hood up) and when they give it throttle if the engine lifts up to one side or the other then your motor mounts are bad.

Yes and no. Its not a rough idle per say its just feeling harsher vibrations through the cabin. Because in automatic they rev slightly higher in netuel and when you put it in gear/reverse it drops the revs lower causing the vibrations to feel harsher making it feel like a (rough idle)

But when the car is warm up nicely there's little bit less shaking and bouncing left and right, but when l turn the AC after is warm up than l start to feel little bit more shaking not to much. And l haven't change the spark plugs yet l just bought it yesterday. And there’s no engine light on so l’m confuses.

I Have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent SUV FWD, 3.4L v6, I Just had All Brand New Parts installed. 2 new Struts, 2 new lower control arms, 2 new stabilizer links, 2 new front Wheel Hub bearings, 2 new CV Axle Shafts. But now kinda have new problem as when i put the SUV into (Drive) it's fine, but as soon as i Put it into (Reverse) while holding the brake peddle you Here a Clunk, from the Passenger Side front, and also when driving over bumps on the road ways i can here a popping Sound, had the Struts rechecked and no problems. could it be that the upper Engine Mount cause this Problem.

The motor mounts have rubber cushions in them that damp out the engine vibration. When the rubber is cold it gets stiffer and doesn't absorb vibration as well, then when it gets warmer it softens up. Even if the mounts are fine you can usually feel more vibration on a freezing cold morning than at other times. Mounts don't usually break suddenly but sag over time and don't do their job properly.

Please don’t drive and make videos it’s just irresponsible. The reason you couldn’t park twice and had to go for a third time was because you were distracted. It could be. You can visually inspect them for cracks and check for movement with prybar. It also can be a vacuum leak-which will be most pronounced at idle (especially when it's very cold outside). I had same issue which I fixed by replacing intake manifold gasket on a 2006 toyota matrix.
