I really liked this breakdown. One thing I would add is the ability to use all of the skills he mentioned when pressured in a fight by a good striker. I think Joe mentioned this very briefly in the beginning, but it is worth restating

Great Video Joe! What if I can execute all of it (I love your concept of following the counter punch- usually I slip the punch, counter with single shot and exit out of range) but only with low lvl fighters, with more experienced ones (lets say Amature Champions) i have difficulties to do that so fluently.

Excellent description. I tell my guys they need to be able to put all the concepts and drills together when they spar/fight. It show their fight IQ. I will definitely be sharing this 🙏🏿

Hello Bazooka. Great channel. You should do a series of guided ShadowBoxing videos. Starting with basic and evolve to more advanced. 🥊🥊🥋🥋

I don't think these are traits of elite strikers; I'd say these are traits of any high level / advanced striker. I do all these things but that doesn't make me elite & it doesn't mean I still don't often lose competitions.

I really don't see how it is... People who spar understand the context much better than those who don't. People who think that watching videos will make them invincible will always do so, regardless of the intent of the person making the video...
@Worldwide_Rio2 жыл бұрын
@@KelpWolf I know you don't. If you fought before you'd understand. Just know that regardless of if you do what is in this video that doesn't make you elite.

@@Worldwide_Rio idk i don't think people that don't train watch his videos. these videos are for people that want to learn or are learning in my opinion.

I cant identify. But what makes one truly elite is to be able to pull it off most of the time and against elite competition. But even the very best have bad days.

When I was a competing athlete, I felt the same way, some days I could beat the best players in my sport, other days I couldn't get my feet and hands to agree which direction I was going. I think that's one of the dividing lines between good and "elite" -- the ability to do it consistently against the best opponents, even on your worst days
