If people are wondering how you beat the karate elusive style, this is how you do it. chin down, hands up, cut off the ring, work the body and legs. perfect gameplan, karate fighters are very fast so trying to catch them is suicide. chop his legs down take away his movement then you got him.

These commentators are so slow to describe the action. They don't even point out how badly Daniels is hurt when he stops hopping around, begins leans stiffly on the left leg, and switches stances to protect the leg. They wait until Valtellini has pummeled the leg until they even mention it, and even then, they don't even point out how badly hurt the guy is, or how the leg kicks are what won the fight for Valtellini! The leg kicks crippled Daniels' movement and froze him up for Joe to land solid punches and the two great high kicks, which sealed the deal.

I wish he was as young as he looks because that would mean he still has tons of time to get even better and develop more, but he's 30 now. His decline pretty much just begun. Some guys can extend their peak until about 35 and the extremely rare ones can go beyond that. But, usually, after 30, you only have a few more good years in you. I wish him the best. Very chill and humble style. No theatrics and peacock feathers. Just pure, technical, and focused fighting. Really like this guy a lot. Plus, a very admirable career outside of fighting.

More I watch this, the less Interest I have in MMA. I respect wrestling but can't resist that stand up fight charm

*SPOILER ALERT* I loved the moment when Valtellini's high kick hits Daniels arrogant over over confident face. BAM! Right on the kisser.

muay Thai defeats any striking discipline

not true tbh
@Roedflair8 жыл бұрын
Muay thai+ good boxing beats any striking discipline. The only way muay thai loses is in mma cause of the smaller gloves and takedowns
@hazzmvm8 жыл бұрын
for sure. Good hands with muay thai + ground discipline is the best way to go
@judenorbz5006 жыл бұрын
Rui He said striking discipline any ground base discipline is not relevant to standing/striking rules such as this one. And he's right Muay Thai is best standing discipline.

Do you know how insanely super humanly durable you have to be to eat that final kick and not take an instant nap?

I have seen Daniels in area 47 and Austrian classics...always fit and fast as hell...good fight this both!
@xl71317 жыл бұрын
Valtenllini made Daniels play his game -- false engagement in the first round to get Daniels chasing him and tiring out in the 1st round -- Come 2nd round, Daniels is sloppier and slower, Valtenllini's power and technique quickly overcomes Daniels in the 2nd round. Elevate.

I haven’t been keeping up with UFC or any other fighting since about 09’. I like this Daniels kid. Great win for the Canadian kid though.

Insane that with a 3 inch height difference, he has 3 inches on Daniels in reach. So rare. Def. helped him to get inside.

I was a taekwondo fighter. 2 times Indonesia national champion. I stop fighting in taekwondo 2008. My last gold medal. I was already 31 years old. And I know my limit. Since that i train muaythai and kickboxing. Just want to train but cus of my taekwondo and boxing background i learned pretty quick and I still has the cardio. When you allowed to attack with every part of your body oooo my cardio is still very good. So I started my pro muaythai national debut in 2009. Won on 2nd round. Using the exactly what joe did 1-2 rear head kick

Those leg kicks in round 2 and onwards were fcking brutal!!
@suburbiajones2268 Жыл бұрын
This was a classic case of a kickboxer versus a Muaythai fighter. Raymond Daniels is definitely more skilled, he just needs to spend some time in Thailand. Yes this remind me of the movie kickboxer.
