If people are wondering how you beat the karate elusive style, this is how you do it. chin down, hands up, cut off the ring, work the body and legs. perfect gameplan, karate fighters are very fast so trying to catch them is suicide. chop his legs down take away his movement then you got him.

Shogun did this against Machida in the UFC twice when Machida was a champ in his prime. Also to keep in mind, is to feint and counter their counter. Or use a little outside striking to pressure them into engaging and then counter them that way instead.

Big fan of both these fighters. Bazooka Joe is so technical in everything he does its brilliant. His combinations are perfectly put together and his hands are always in position to defend. Daniels speed for his size is unreal and his accuracy with such advanced techniques is almost magical. Cant understand why kickboxing hasnt taken off to more popularity in America. The fighters are incredible and its all stand up which is almost everybody's favorite part of mma. I tell every mma fan who will listen to watch Glory

These commentators are so slow to describe the action. They don't even point out how badly Daniels is hurt when he stops hopping around, begins leans stiffly on the left leg, and switches stances to protect the leg. They wait until Valtellini has pummeled the leg until they even mention it, and even then, they don't even point out how badly hurt the guy is, or how the leg kicks are what won the fight for Valtellini! The leg kicks crippled Daniels' movement and froze him up for Joe to land solid punches and the two great high kicks, which sealed the deal.

God damn those gloves are huge! Daniels Bellator fight brought me here.. Amazing kicker... but he throws a lot and a lot high from a far distance. A good wrestler would capitalize on that. The guy he fought in Bellator was was waaayy too slow for him though.. he couldn’t even move out of the way from the half assed kicks Daniels threw. ...but Daniels is very wild and throws a lot of uncalculated strikes. I think a lot of UFC vets especially top 5 guys, would make easy work of him. I’d put him at same level as Yair Rodriguez.
@saltjunky

Yair actually has a better ground game than Daniels, so Daniels is in trouble if he goes up against a wrestler.

Very sloppy punches from daniels. I doubt he could beat any solid mauy thai fighter. His blitz style would be shut down very quickly by leg kicks. This is a good example of that

Are the commentators watching the same fight? Valtellini was all over him, from the first round, Daniels landed nothing significant, Val landed the much harder shots (leg kicks). The commentators are clueless

Holy shit, man. I really like Joe Valtellini's style and athleticism. He needs work on some aspects of his game, but he has a really great foundation. I wish he was as young as he looks because that would mean he still has tons of time to get even better and develop more, but he's 30 now. His decline pretty much just begun. Some guys can extend their peak until about 35 and the extremely rare ones can go beyond that. But, usually, after 30, you only have a few more good years in you. I wish him the best. Very chill and humble style. No theatrics and peacock feathers. Just pure, technical, and focused fighting. Really like this guy a lot. Plus, a very admirable career outside of fighting.

I just realized...Duke Rufus is the commentator. His brother lost in a similar fashion to a MuayThai...and I can't believe he still doesn't give Muay Thai credit for those low kicks. Still salty because it doesn't take much talent to do low kicks. ROFL!
@somerled5513
@somerled5513 3 жыл бұрын
Not true about not needing talent for low kicks. I know very few who can land them well with power and good timing. There's also the art of setting them up properly so they don't get checked. They're the most dangerous weapon in kickboxing if used well.

I was a taekwondo fighter. 2 times Indonesia national champion. I stop fighting in taekwondo 2008. My last gold medal. I was already 31 years old. And I know my limit. Since that i train muaythai and kickboxing. Just want to train but cus of my taekwondo and boxing background i learned pretty quick and I still has the cardio. When you allowed to attack with every part of your body oooo my cardio is still very good. So I started my pro muaythai national debut in 2009. Won on 2nd round. Using the exactly what joe did 1-2 rear head kick
