There's a few ways she might interpret it. 1. She finds it very thoughtful and interesting. The next thought she might have is why you chose to write the book instead of asking her out directly. That might be the step where you would have to really step up and make your move, otherwise she's going to start to feel weird about it, thinking that maybe it was a stalker kind of move or that you have some sort of obsession about her. 2. She outright thinks it's weird and feels a bit embarrassed about it because it draws so much attention to her. In a situation like that, it might feel nearly impossible to recover. I would say the best way to navigate the situation given that you've already passed the book along is to simply say she inspired one of the characters and then to focus on asking her out. Doing this might make her feel like less attention is being put on her and she might be intrigued by the idea that she had a lasting impression on you to inspire a whole character in a book.

If nobody ends up reading this, at least it was a good way to vent how I feel, because I can't hold it in anymore. *What I believe happened, give me your thoughts:* Snapchat/social media was the only form of communication (we had one real conversation in real life where her and my best friend basically stalked me and found me walking at the reservoir in my town, so no one-on-one conversations) and she got bored of it, so she moved on. *Short version:* Best friends cousin asks him for my snapchat. We had a 70+ day streak (2 1/2 months of talking every single day) until out of the blue she began to ignore me. After 2 days I was complaining to my best friend and her ignoring me came up. He then told her what I said, and she proceeded to snap me saying "I heard you're upset rn. I'm sorry for ignoring you, you're a great guy, but snapchat just gets super boring sometimes." She then ignored me for 5 days, I then sent her "gimme your # i'd like to talk." (read long version to why I never asked for it previously) She replied with, "nahh." She now has left me on open for 2 weeks. Her and my best friend came to my job the other day, and they didn't even buy anything, so they once again went out of their way to see me. I was also hanging out with my best friend last week and we went to my job to get my paycheck. He thought his cousin was working that day (she wasn't) and he kept texting someone on his phone and looking around. Idk how to explain it, it just looked like he was texting his cousin so she would come talk to us. I'm an overthinker, so maybe that's just me being stupid. I am so damn confused. I've never genuinely liked a girl the way I like her, and idk if I can just "move on." *Long version:* About 3 months ago, my best friend's cousin asked him for my snapchat after looking at some newer photos of me. After a week of snapchatting her, she mentioned to her cousin and I on facetime that I send some really funny snapchats. I can only think of one time where she actually flirted with me, and that was in the first week of talking. She is very pretty, so I flirted back. After a few weeks, though, I noticed that she became very uninterested in even having a conversation with me. Snapchat getting "boring" was a BS lie, but that is besides the point. Me being my insecure self, I told her something like this, "I'm not really upset at you, just upset at the fact that every girl I have tried befriending has ended up ignoring me. (This has happened with 5 girls, 4 of them being back in middle school, where I think everything is going great for about 2 months, and then they end up ignoring me, so obviously there has to be something I'm doing wrong) I had a feeling ***** was gonna tell you what I said, and I was hoping he wouldn't. I just want you to know that you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to. Talk to me whenever you want about whatever you want, but I don't want talking to me to be like a chore to you." We then snapped back and forth for a day, and then she left me on open again. This time it was for 5 days.. Since she was so "bored" of snapchat, I sent her a snapchat saying "Gimme your # I'd like to talk" and she responded saying "nahh," which I then responded with "yikes." I need help. We used to hang out all the time, but we have no classes this year. She holds eye contact, smiles, and is very, very kind. She friended me on Snapchat and I accepted, I've messaged her 3 times over a span of a week saying "hey!". The other two were joking saying hey attempt number 3. She hasn't responded. okay so i have this crush on this amazing guy and the other day he came up to my table (where my and all my friends sit) and he asked which one of us was the smartest and all my friends pointed at me so he said I'll be your buddy then and I don't know if it was on coincidence or not and he is always nice to me when we do sports and never pushes me.
