The one down side is the SIM can only be used in Unlocked Phones, which means people need to buy a unlocked phone or try their luck with unlocking a phone that is locked to a carrier, which depends on the phone brand and carrier brand it's locked to.

I don't consider that a downside with all the financing options available today. There's no reason to be buying phones from the carrier in 2024 aside from short-term free upgrade benefits.

I feel like this would be perfect for a tablet if you wanted a cellular option but didn't want to have another bill (or add to your bill.) Now im kinda mad i didn't opt for a cellular option but hopefully if they offer esim in the future i'll definitely get one.

wouldnt use it for anything i need security for, but might be good for a backup phone, or one you need for signing up to places you dont want spam from on your main. im gonna see if this can work on a really old phone of mine as most carriers wont let it connect due to its age.

@@TravisMCP unfortunately that doesn’t work in the San Francisco Bay Area as it’s always out door weather. A lot of folks spend more time outdoor vs indoor with extensive use of their phones. It’s not unusual to see people walking in the street with their head down to the phone and unaware of the danger to them due to traffic.

I’m pretty sure if the government was tracking you that they couldn’t track both iPhones or Android phones now as far as woman tracking their man on either phone would be that hard both have the option of turning on your location so I have a feeling both phones could be tracked but I have owned both types of phones the reason a lot of people use iPhones is because they are more secure but I’m sure androids are probably just as secure as iPhones are either ones can be hacked into so just because you own an android phone don’t think that phone can’t be hacked into because I’m sorry to say any phone can be hacked into

"There's something called Essential data." Yaaaa 1GB of data lol. Data is essentially the reason why most get people get a phone. Most people don't spend their time all day talking on the phone. 1 GB is only going to last 30 min. Especially with games and video apps. Kinda pointless.
