@@EthanBecker70 If you want to replicate that in photoshop you just merge the whole painting on a new layer and put a find edge filter on it than set the layer to multiply (mask out the parts where you don't need it)
@YangosArt4 жыл бұрын
Isn’t that a bit too much of destructive edit? Especially if you don’t make a copy of your work before sharpening it. A less destructive way is make a layer just for the highlight , duplicate that highlight layer, lock the opacity, change to a darker color, move it slight lower a smidge to create that contrast and that’s it.

Bluesssatan does the dark underneath not by intentionally adding it, but by using the sharpen tool so it makes that odd outline where two different colors meet. Oversharpening seems to be one of her consistent tools, and it's also how she adds the texture.

A little tool I love using is a little air brush for creating depth and then render over the top, another thing I use is warm colors for light and cool colors for Shadows it creates good contrast. I love making renders so fun but super time consuming. I can do portraits in 4 hours but if it's like full body and background think of more like 8-12+ also depends on the person. Some I have done are decent so yeah. It is pretty challenging. Oh yeah I think the artist uses the sharpen tool to get dark shadow under highlight.
