Do you play any of these 5 hands? Also, here are the top 5 hilarious things you will only hear amateur poker players say: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5zSk6qje9mNjdk

I'm a newbie in poker, just a couple of month. Very low stakes online, obviously bad results. I watched your videos and followed your tips, especially the free sheet. Yesterday I tried to follow your advices religiously. I finished 11th among a 230 players tournament (5,50 Euros buy in) and doubled my bankroll in cash game (0,10-0,20 Euros). Maybe it's a random outcome, but thank you for now. We'll see how it will go.

And here I thought the 79 meant you were my age lol Either way, your videos have tremendously helped my game. I 'came out of retirement' less than a month ago, and your videos have helped me plug so many leaks and bad old habits that I'm consistently hitting final tables in 10 buy in tourneys, and usually in top 5. My bankroll has grown to where I'm now using better play to make more money at higher levels. Thank you so much!

It is nonsense to say a poker hand has two pairs and trips potential. Any rubbish like 72o has this potential. The 5 hands you mentioned can be simply summed up as small pairs, suited connectors and suited ace. No need to make things difficult and waste time!

One year (within 12 months) I flopped quad 2222 5 times then all of a sudden it stopped LOL. One of the times was in a $320 buy in tournament at Foxwoods and there were 4 of us left . Unfortunately, no one caught up so i didn't make very much.

Couple points. 1. You can play some of these hands even with a shorter stack(13 to 27 bb stack), in a tournament, IF IF you either A. raise or shove on button, cut off, SB vs only bb, etc. B. If there is a lot of limpers that passive limping in front of you, you can limp min call those hands on button, cut off, complete the SB, in order to MONSTER HAND MINE. normally you would be too shallow of a stack, and would have to fold those hands preflop, but sometimes if your getting card dead in a tournament, with a short stack, you need to occasionally play those hands as limp in monster hand mine spots in button, cut off, SB, and as SB vs BB raise/ shove. Failure to do that means that if CARD DEAD, you can BLIND DOWN and OUT. 3. 54 suited is only good to raise RFI on button, or SB vs BB, because playing 54 suited in any other situation, despite the good that can happen as Nathan outlined, the bad can happen like being over flushed, over straighted, dominated, AZZ end of straight, etc. That's why if do play 54 suited, have to play it very carefully.. Everything else what Nathan is saying is right. Just pointing out the exceptions, etc.

So bizarre - I watched this video a little earlier today, right before playing an online tournament. I got 22, called the preflop bets, got a 2 on the flop, and won a nice pot! 😁

Got a question. Been playing for 17 years. Finally got a Online Poker that legal in WA state via Ignition Poker. So I deposited $100 an am playing. So I playing in micro stakes, and in late mid tournament in a micro with a big GTD pay out, I was 85 bb deep. I was semi somewhat card dead, in that I couldn't even get very wide range hand to play, and so the only hands was getting was AA, KK, QQ, AK, type hands once in while instead of any playable very wide hand ranges. This made me look like a ULTIMATE tight nitty player. And I had only shown the nuts, good, etc, at showdown, at started showing the goods when everyone fold, so that I would be able to build the kind of table image that would allow me to start stealing blinds. And I had started to steal blinds because of my NITTY image. So with that as background: I raised K9 suited on button. A mid stack(50 bb stack), called 3 x raise. Can't remember their position. Flop came. xKx. Villain DONK betted, opened, half pot bet, and I minreraised with my top pair of kings, 9 kicker(K9), and villain called. I minreraised for limiting size of pot control, and merged that with not wanting to call because of DRAWY board, and if villain had a draw, I didn't want to call and let villain block bet get to see a cheap card, but didn't want to bet big and get into a big pot with a weaker kicker, since villain DONK betted, and since villain likely thought I had a lot of strength, and so villain DONK betting shows strength. Turn: x brick. Villain checked. I bet half the pot, 18k, out of my 60k stack, because of draw crazy board. Then Villain check reraised me all in. Given my history of showing down the nuts, and how Villain usually wasn't getting out of line, and considering that Villain DONK betting opening the calling a min 3 bet post flop, then check raising all in on the turn, that that screamed set, 2 pair, monster combo draw with 50% to win, make draw, KT, KJ, KQ, all of which would beat my top pair of K's 9 kicker. Now I know it's theoretically possible villain was semi bluffing a worse draw, etc, but he wasn't getting out of line, and to do that in the face of the kind of strength I was likely to have, would be NUTS, INSANE. So because of that I figured it was about 85% I was beat, 7% that was OVERVALUING hand, 7% that was semi bluffing me. So I folded.( unlike the fish, I can fold top pair, but that said I don't fold Top Pair, mid kicker often in a tournament. The reason posting this is that want to double check my play, and get some of the better players here to double check my play. And since I just started playing online again(Online Poker wasn't available in WA state after the USA Black Friday shutdown of Online Poker), I need to find a poker forum or some place where I can post poker questions, hand history, to double check my play, improve, etc, as even a shark like me, needs to sharpen my teeth from time to time.

Mostly agree, but you’re not looking to get massive stacks in with 54s that makes baby flushes and ass-end straights. I thought another video actually warned about hands like this…

No shit...in heads up or 3 way All in with pocket rockets im 1 for 8 in the last 2 weeks....playing AA'S all in heads up im 0-5.....slow playing Aces forget it. I would NEVER fold AA's pre flop....but I have lost more hands with pocket AA's than KK's or Queen's.....maybe JJ's are close. Pocket 10's seem to almost always hold in a race for me. Even hit set's more times with pocket 99's and 10,10's than AA.....but then they actually do hold it is pretty nice
