Hey! Thanks for your advice, but I really don't know how long should a "good" answer be. You mentioned that the key is to be natural, as if you're answering in your own native language. However, to be honest, if you ask me about my favorite food in my native language, my answer would be "My favorite food is [name of the dish], because I love its flavor and texture." That's not able my English ability but I just don't know what to tell, if a "long" answer like in 9:43 is unfavorable. I also want to tell that, my biggest issue with the test is not about my speaking ability per se, but sometimes, the questions are not very realistic (to me). E.g. I may be asked to talk about theaters even though I never been to it and know nothing about it.

I binge watched IELTS Advantage KZbin videos for 2 days and practiced for 1 day and I am happy to inform you that I scored 8.0 overall (L 8.5; R 9.0; W 7.5; S 7.5). I am not proud of the results because I think I could have done better given the information that I gleaned from the videos. However, this score would do for now. My advice to future test takers, Practice! Practice!! Practice!! My writing score could have been higher if I had taken more timed practice tests. I couldn't finish the second task. Also, my speaking score could have been significantly higher if I had practiced that 2 minute speaking task. I blanked out after a few seconds. Overall, thanks to everyone at IELTS Advantage!!!!!

@@ohghhjjfff You are correct. It would not help everybody as we assimilate information at different paces. However, my recommendation is still valid: (1) IELTS Advantage KZbin videos are sufficient for people with shoe string budgets and, (2) Practice! Practice!! Practice!!! to get better over time.

I just ignored one tip and that one mistake came back to bite me! Hi! I love your lessons.I took my exam today and hopefully I’ll get a 7.5 overall and at least a 7 in each module because by the end of my practice,I was scoring at least that much(though even 9 and 8 became more frequent than my initial practice tests).I remember being scared of every module before beginning the exam,even my hands were shaking.I took notes when you taught us about the correct way to attempt each part of the test and worked on my linguistic proficiency consistently for 3 months.Despite all of that,I was extremely nervous to the point that my voice was shaking during the speaking test.I had expected the worst case scenarios for each section of this test,which didn’t happen.In fact I love that they began with the writing section as I had worked on it the most.I have given my best. Fingers crossed! I hope everything pays off and I don’t end up retaking IELTS.That might feel frustrating.

I scored overall 7. 7.5 in reading and 7 in other three modules. Though I wasn’t sure for my writing as I messed my task 1 but still managed to score 7 because of your guidance. I made sure to provide a clear idea (whether am agreed or not with reason) in introduction then its explanation in two body paragraphs and finally restated my those ideas in conclusion in task 2. I got my results today for the paper-based Academic IELTS test I took on July 27th. This was my very first attempt… R - 8.5 L - 7.0 W - 7.5 S - 8.0 Overall - 8.0 I am so glad that I managed to achieve my goal with the help of your videos! This is such a relief. Chris, thank you so much for all the free video materials you upload on your channel! I just followed the tips and strategies that you advised, and this has led me to success in most sections. On the listening part, I guess I got a bit frustrated because of the seating plan, as I was seated the furthest from the speakers, and was rather focused on this inconvenience than on the questions. But it doesn't matter. My overall score is enough for me to get into my dream university. Wish you all the best and thank you, once again!
