Crap, that I missed this live stream. I would've had a few questions. Your style is unorthodox, in a way.

Travis, how do you throw a barrel bodied person generally? I have trouble getting my hips in when they have a huge belly.

Excellent. Reminds me how fun Judo can be. Also the adrenalin rush you get when you catch Uke with a big throw. 😄👍.

A cool idea for future videos is to cover Hashimoto's (one-handed) sode. He manages to pull it off consistently on the IJF tour, on the highest level and it's his trademark technique. He has multiple (specific) ways of setting it up and executing it. Definetely worth covering in a video. A video, just like the Maruyama uchi mata video would be awesome and very appreciated within this community! In addition, Shohei Ono's uchi mata or o-soto are definitely worth covering. He has unique ways to pull these techniques off aswell!

I recently added the split hip ippon seoi nage technique and it feels much more effective I must say. I definitely going to try your split hip utsuri goshi when uke is reaching for a russian grip. Awesome content as always, thank you!!

What is the name of that throw in wrestling? A direct translation from Scandinavian is "neck swing", but it can't be that easy, can it?

Is there any tactical advantage to doing split-hip throws? I imagine it might help a tall player to get below his shorter opponents, correct? Also, what kind of posture/look from uke would prompt a split hip approach, if any?

Awesome, great video Travis! Thanks again for the great content both! I've been attempting to practice split hip throws with my uchikomi bands. Is this something you'd recommend? I found I have to stand really far away to keep the tension, especially if I stand up as I rotate bringing my front foot back, as you demonstrated here.
