This is head and shoulders the best QB tape you have shown on your channel. This guy has an O-line like swiss cheese, he is constantly under pressure and yet has a 77% completion rate AS A SOPHOMORE. The capacity to read the breakdown, move and evade, then connect to a receiver down the field is the Best we have seen on your channel by a large margin. Given the level of breakdown in his O-Line, just the fact that he is considered a pro-style QB instead of scouts seeing him as a dual threat is incredibly telling. It means he is making completed passes in broken plays so much he does not NEED to scramble for yards running. That is a VERY special talent showing every skill a QB should have AND the intangible `can just make it happen` factor. To win a state championship, with an O-line that breaks down would be like the Giants winning a super bowl last year. Im Calling it now, that if this guy does not get injured, he will be HOF at the end of his career and one of the best to ever play the game.

What i was seeing was his O-line getting obliterated and then him just making plays with a calm efficiency and accuracy that is just pretty to watch. He has all the tools and the kind of playmaking capacity that makes some players very, very special.

I have watched some exceptional talent develop in the last 40 or so years and this guy stands out to me more than any other at the same stage of their development for the skills that are truly hard to teach. In that 40 or so years, this is the first time i have seen a player at this age i am confident will be top 10 all time in his position over his career.

Real talk though.. JJ McCarthy kinda reminds me of a slightly more mobile Matthew Stafford. Just with his deep ball abilities, and also how he can slings passes with somewhat of an unorthodox touch . Or when he rolls out of the pocket and zings a ball side arm like Stafford does. Just making perfect throws from weird angles without squaring his shoulders up and what not. This young man should be a star at Michigan! I really hope they surround him with a great offensive line and tons of weapons!

Kids are so advanced this guy have amazing their football IQs. Some freshmen QBs can come in college and start as freshman. That wasn't so years ago back in my days lol in the 90s and early 2000 99% of QB were red shirt and waited till RS sophomore year. Thats why so many guys are transfering now. They want to play fast and build their brand. But the systems are opening up for wide outs too. Good stuff wish this young man the best.
