5 Step Morning Cleaning Routine & You’ve Been Doing this Wrong

Hi Emily, I've been watching your videos for 8 years now! As always please do your 5 steps night routine (even if I feel I know it by now). I do underwear separate but I do it with pj included. The other thing is that as Italian we all (4 of us) wear vests under our tops so this means that in a week there will be likely 32 pieces of underwear, 32 white (only white) vest tops and 4 (or more pjs). I wash my bra by hand. Last thing, would it be very useful if you include how much time it takes you to do this stuff. I have a morning routine and I feel it takes me a lot (it is just perception or am I slow?) Being able to compare would be source of challenging myself.!! ❤❤❤

Yes underwear needs to be washed separately. It’s not the end of the world if you won’t but generally underwear gets way dirtier than your other clothes so I always use high temperature on underwear. 😅

Great motivational vlog Emily , I love routine too .....daily tidying & always like to make sure laundry is on folded & put away sort lunch & dinner then a good walk early afternoon with my son or bike ride & love to garden each day , summer is here & already we're mid 30's phew ....!!! I wash my underwear and socks separately from everything else. I then wash all of my t-shirt’s, pajama pants, nightgowns and so on separately And then I air dry some of my underwear and dresses and so on. I also do it by colors, and fabrics.

Separate underwear cycle is great! This way I can exclude all scented products. Fragrance is not great in that area!

I do an underwear wash... usually everyone runs lows at the same time so it all goes in! Not separate programme on the washing machine though!

I do this too! We also have separate load of socks one in 7-10 days - with small washing machine and 4 people it makes perfect sense :)

I always wash on a mixed setting at 60°c or 90°c... have a wee baby who sicks up quite a lot ! The 60°c on all clothes except delicates makes them smell fresh without scent boosters

My go too setting is the Eco mode. It’s like 3 hours long. Never know what else to put it on. I always mix all fabrics together but seperate it into darks and lights 🤷🏻‍♀️

My washing machine is a top loader. Very basic without those fancy programmes.

I wash our undies separately. Family of four and we do laundry once per week so there is always enough undies for a full load. I’m sure if we did laundry everyday I would just throw them in with regular clothes. 😊

I dont have any special morning routine. My girls are 5&3 years old and we live in Florida. I dont have a washing machine and no laundry mashine. We wake up and eat breakfast. Then I clean the dining table and clean food mess from the floor, do dishes by hand and then make the beds. If its not to hot we go to the park in the morning and back for lunch and do home school.

We are quite lucky with our thermal waters and heating so washing in Iceland is quite cheap so i wash everything on 60° and that gets out all the dirt odors and leaves your chlothes so clean an smelling fresh

Perfect timing. My house is a mess and my maternal leave is ending this week.
