Emily Norris you have unlocked gratitude in me today 😭 The thing you said about moms of kids under 4 surviving couldn’t be more true. Both of my toddlers sleep in my bed so we all hear my husbands alarm when he wakes up. I have hardly a day where I can wake up on my own and have time to myself. I am so tired. Thank you for validating that for us 🥺❤

I agree 100%. I think what sets my day off right is when I first wake up, I give gratitude. I'm not a religious person but I always try to thank God for my life and for keeping my family safe through the night and to protect and guide us throughout our day. Right after, I try to stretch a little while I'm in bed, under the covers. This helps a lot as I get older. I do my best to wake up early every day (at least weekdays) to get a quick workout. I do the same thing every weekday, so it just helps to be repetitive. And honestly you just have to do things consistently to make it a habit.

Loved hearing all of your daily habits! One of mine is to get ready everyday. Dressed, makeup and brush my hair. That’s what makes me feel put together and makes me feel ready to tackle any tasks. I also love just putting on work out clothes as for some reason they automatically motivate me to either do a work out or do some house work 😂 I’d love a video or a part in a vlog with your book recommendations 🤍

Doing my bed is crucial , taught it to my girls . Now all tidy beds ,a moment to be thankful to have beds and houses and my thoughts and prayers to who doesn't have any specially in this freezing weather.🙏

This is the most accurate description of manifestation/visualisation I have heard from an influencer. Basically that visualising what you want focuses your brain to work towards it, rather than magically bringing it into your life like some would have you believe. ❤ Thank you Emily xxx

Hi. So I was pregnant with my son, we had some worrying news and for about a week my life just froze, pregnancy excitement turned into worry. So I found your videos on baby hacks to occupy myself and stay positve and that really helped through that awful week. Thankfully all was well and my son is now 5 with a 2 year old sister. Iv never stopped watching you, you have made scary mum life not so scary. I never had a mum to turn to for advise. You help people more than you know. Bless you and your family. xxxx

I love the idea of visual placements, lay your workout clothes out so you feel inspired to wear them then work out.. Also putting a pair of trainers on means I will brisk walk rather than stroll. One of my favourites is run a bath and work out while the bath is slowly filling then you have a nice hot bath to get into as a reward for hard work.

Scheduling fun was life-changing for me! I can highly recommend book by Laura Vanderkam "Tranquility by Tuesday" (and her other books as well) - there are 9 rules, and some overlap with what you are saying here Emily (e.g. schedule fun). As a cognitive scientist i can also testify that those rules (or habits, really) also have a good reason to work well. "Happier Hour" by Cassie Holmes, PhD is another great book on the topic. I listened to both, of course :D And the 10 minute cleaning idea made i huge difference. I picked it up from your 3 years ago when my first child was born and it always saves me when i'm overwhelmed with all the mess. Thank you!

My good habit is doing my skincare right after kids bedtime. I know I’m not going out anywhere anyways, so I come downstairs and immediately wash my face etc. Then I can get on with making lunches, dishes, relaxing and when it’s time to go to bed I’m ready 👍🏼

I love it when you said you get it for early mornings. Mums with kids under 4. Just surviving lol. I try but there’s days it just never goes right. But it’s good motivation. And putting small amounts in the routine help a lot. Even 20 mins earlier has helped. So thank you for this video. I’ve watched it a few times and I still get more information based on how I’m feeling. So thank you so much! 😊😊😊

I love my magnetic meal planner. Just sticks to my fridge and reminds me to take any meat out of the freezer the night before if it needs defrosting and also had stopped the what's for dinner' from my daughter as she can just read the menu based on what day it is. Doing this has also reduced my grocery bill and eliminated wasted food in my house. I also have a magnetic calender so she can visually see any scheduled outings or people coming to visit. My daughter has ASD and thrives on knowing what's coming next which reduces and in some cases had eliminated meltdowns.

Happy New Year, Emily!!! I gained the habit of leaving a clean kitchen each night years ago from you! Thank you! Last year, I also started to layout all the cutlery and crockery that I will use for breakfast before I go to bed. A bit silly but every minute counts in the morning rush. I found the manifestation interesting, definitely worth a try. Routine and habit stacking is the backbone of our fam life as well. Single guests just don’t understand and think we are totally bonkers but it is what it is, haha! Thank you again, nice share! Xxx

Yess the making the bed thing I teach my kids and they do that all the time thank God because in the native way in our culture we were taught to rise early with the sun and make your bed because if you don't that means your day you will be lazy on those days but when you do make your bed your day will be very productive and have a better day just a little thought for you or anyone... 😊

Hey Emily, hope you’re all well. I’m happy, good and well thank you good evening love this 10 simple habits, tips and ideas to have a organised simplify your life in 2023 video. I’ve really enjoyed all of these 10 habits, tips and ideas to have a organised simplify your life because it made me feel happy and motivated with the week. My favourite organised habits was to find a way of organising meal prep and batch cook and have quiet time set alarms for daily reminders is a good way to make sure you’re getting up at the right correct times in the mornings all the time. I always set my alarms for 7am every night before I go to bed and it really helps me to have an hour to myself to get ready and being productive in the mornings too. I feel these 4 habits will definitely make me feel better happy and calm about the day. My favourite tip is to cleaning my kitchen and unloading my dishwasher and reloading my dishwasher because I feel it makes me feel happy whenever I have a clean kitchen and sink. Batch cooking and meal prep I find is so important because it saves you so much time in the week I always batch cook all of my dinners in the evenings so I have lunches for the next few days for being at home. Another thing which helps me to be organised and productive is to plan for the day and week ahead all the time. I try and do some work when I find a chance to have quiet working time at home too. I love your red dress / top so much because it made me feel happy and better. Ah the fridge inventory idea is so handy and usual to do it every week because you kind of know what things needs to be used up before buy any new groceries for the week ahead. Ordering groceries online is a massive change because it saves you time to do other things. I like to go and get my food from the shop so it can set me up for the week. Plan our week is a great one to do every Sunday so you know exactly what you have to do to have more of a productive week. Make to do lists is a good one because you can jot down everything you have to do too. I always get everything ready that I will need the night and it really sets me up to have calm and happy mornings as well. I absolutely loved this 10 minute cleaning and tidy idea because I like to make sure everything is tided and clean too. I always put some music on in the background whilst I am cleaning my home. I get all of my music and songs from epidemic sound / pop channel. Meal prep is a wonderful one because you can prep everything you need to set you up for the week ahead of you. I love preparing all of my fruits too. I really love having some me time because it relaxes me and I love having baths or showers the night before the week ahead starts too. If you organise everything out it only takes an hour to do. Declutter something will really help to maximum space and throw anything that you don’t need too. I love to empty my bag if there some things in it that are heavy too. I always plan and prepare which workouts that I want to do on the body team project and I know which workouts are best for me. I always do the low impact workouts on body team project and it really helps me feel better and motivated. I love writing to do lists because they really help me stay focus and productive as well. I feel anxious when listening and reading about the news. If the news is about travel holidays or weather then I don’t feel worried at all. Travel, holidays and weather makes me feel happy and excited all the time. I love to meal prep because it really helps me feel organised and I know what fruits and vegetables are chopped up ready to use for the week. Group tasks together will help you or me know which ones you need to do weekly. Concrete and focus on sleep is important because it really helps being calm and happy. Whenever I get up every morning I feel happy and good too. Having simple and easy routines to follow is great because you know what are you doing every morning too. Vision boards is a lovely idea so you what things you want to achieve too. Manifesting or visualisation will help you or me think of thoughts that you have in your or my mind too. Like plans that you want to actually achieve or accomplish too. My biggest thought / plan is to focus on taking any medication every night so I can stay better or good for my health as well. And book in dates for holidays to Turkey with my family too. Create simple routines to put into your week will make you feel motivated and feel productive as well. I love doing my simple routines / tasks every week because it makes feel good and amazing! Absolutely love to see a weekend morning and evening night routines videos soon please! I like having a simple, basic and easy skincare routine and normal daily routine to make my skin a lot fresher and healthier. And a lot happier with my routine and weeks / days too. I use a Lancôme skincare product on my skin and it works really well and also brightens up my skin as well. I use my Lancôme cream skincare item every night so I don’t have to do it in the mornings, but occasionally when I haven’t had a chance to wash my face in the evenings I will try to wake up bit early before no one else does so I have a few minutes to wash my face / skin in the mornings! Now I have been taking my medication every night and that makes me feel less worried and more happy. Meal plan is great one so you and everyone knows what they want for dinner in that week. Wake up early is a lovely because it gives you an hour or two to get up and get ready for the day properly too. I need to start getting up early so I can focus on myself a little bit more in the mornings instead of getting up really late! I really don’t like it when I get up late in the mornings and makes me feel guilty and more stressed because I haven’t had done anything too. I get up around 7am or 6:40am in the mornings to give myself some time to focus on the day. Exercise or stretches every morning makes me feel healthier, flexible and less tense up in my body! I love track my steps because it really motivates me too! Yes I totally agree with you motivation comes to everyone and myself when doing things that inspires you and really enjoy it as well. I have to feel motivated and happy in everything I do too! Like my health, fitness family and pretty much anything too. I always feel motivated because it helps my brain and mindset too just like you. Doing 10 minutes tidy up or cleaning really helps me to know that I have this amount of time to clean my home! Listen to books or podcasts to make me feel motivated and happy for the rest of the week. Schedule in fun is so important because helps you get out more and spend time with my family or friends. Most days in the year like going to holiday to Turkey I always look forward and excited too. I love all of your 10 simple habits so much! I loved your habit of putting on a timer to speed clean! I’ve adopted that ever since I started watching you, but instead of putting on a timer, I watch one of your 10-20 minutes long video. I am actually writing this as I finished cleaning my kitchen while watching this video!

Happy new year to all. Some Great motivational advice Emily. I also never go to bed until the kitchen is clean and tidy. Even if this means staying up late and doing it when we have had guests over for dinner. I just put some chill music on and get it done. Like you said it’s nice to start the day with a clean and ordered space. I’m also a fan of wearing my Apple Watch and monitoring my steps. I take at least 30 mins in a day to got for a walk and listen to podcasts so that is a good use of time. Life is definitely much easier if you can keep on top of the clutter and maintain the house in general.

Iv recently read manifest after your recommendation a while back. I realised it's something I have been doing and have successfully manifested so many amazing things in my life (like my house where our offer got turned down and I just kept thinking about the house and posted a note through that our offer was still on the table and now it's ours!) so I decided to make more of an effort with it and hopefully I will even better results! I think this video is wonderful it's currently summer hoildays here in Australia and our kids are needing to get back into a routine kids definitely thrive on it and so do I it's has been kinda nice not rushing around to extra sport or other activities the kids may have but if your organized it's so much better this tips definitely help I found by me going for a walk when I drop kids off at school has been so good for my mental head space I need to try and do a few more meal plans to help us out with the three kids aged 9,8 and 5

Really love all your habits. Meal planning has absolutely changed our life. We eat well, always know what we are eating and there is less waste. I also spend so much less as well. I love listening to Audible however last year I got out of the habit, so I am going to get back into listening to books and finally get a good routine for cleaning/decuttering etc. We moved house this past year and it has taken me a while to get into a rhythm.

Also, The Internet Archive has a lot of free books. And public libraries have subscriptions to audio providers that can be used for free by anyone with an up to date and clear library card! I love Audible, too! And yes Just Say No to Notifications unless it’s very necessary! One habit I am cultivating, and it may sound silly, but if it is nice outside-open the windows of your house! It is healthy and clears out smells and mold! Also, if you can, hang out laundry. It smells really good, gets you outside for a bit extra, and saves electricity.✌🏻

Happy new year to you too Emily 🤗 Visualisation is a navy seal technique! The most successful navy seals are the ones who are best in visualisation 🙌🏻💯 We started off the year in a bad place unfortunately, but we're definitely trying to think as big as our desires go! Your routines are amazing! We use the ones from when Caleb was around 2years old and Jackson around 2 years old, since our youngest is nearly 2! But the ones you share in this phase of your life definitely are inspiring as well ☺️ and meal planning ideas are always welcome! We follow the Weston E price diet, but it doesn't come with a menu 😂 Just one request I really love your old intro to DITL videos 🥺 the calming music, your slippers and the cup of coffee really helped me 'wake up' and start the days on a positive note as well. The current intro is kind of a spoiler alert haha! But still love watching 🤍 Bless you and your beautiful family xx

Hi Emily. Do you think you can make a video to dedicate to hacks of how to survive house renovation? I am hoping to renovate my kitchen at some stage this year, and I am not sure how things gonna be or work without a kitchen. I will probably be able to use my rice cooker and other small appliances in my garage. It would be great if you could share all your tips and tricks of how you make things work to have some home cooked meals. I probably won't have a luxury to borrow a kitchen. But ya. Any tricks will be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
