I was put on a PIP after I spoke up about experiencing bullying in the workplace. I gave my notice and they made it effective immediately.

Being put on a pip is awful. This is how corporations prepare to exit you. I’ve seen this time and time again, has nothing to do with performance but much rather someone disliking you. In your case they retaliated. I hope you recovered from this!

#4 is brilliant. I went through a PIP and received the formal letter informing me that I completed the requirements of the PIP 10 months ago. It was very stressful, and humiliating. They have had 10 months to fire me and have not so I suppose I am doing better in their opinion? I am searching for a new job now, I just wanted to prove to them and myself that I could do the job....mission accomplished.

PIP: A list of tasks and goals that you can’t possibly accomplish or meet in the hopes you get frustrated and quit.

Step 1: DO NOT AGREE WITH THE PLAN. Step 2: DO NOT SIGN. Step 3: DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT IT IN THE COMPANY. Step 4: PLAN TO WALK OUT WITHIN 2 WEEKS. Step 5: CLEAN ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS and COMPUTER FILES. Step 6: WALK OUT THE DOOR AND KEEP A SMILE ON YOUR FACE. Step 7: CELEBRATE AND FIND A BETTER PLACE.

1. Listen to the bullshit 2. Say you need to look over this documentation 3. Walk off the job. 4. Block them on LinkedIn because they will likely be snooping your pages to see if you are talking about them. 5. Keep your guard up PERMANANTLY!

6. Hand over PIP evidence to attorneys suing former employer. 7. Hand over evidence to former employer’s clients. 8. Turn former employer in to legal authorities. 9. Write nasty reviews about them on Glassdoor
