Straight forward and great advice. Many times a workplace is hostile or toxic and this can negatively impact the person. The employer doesn’t want to admit there is a problem in the workplace or they contribute to the problem and don’t know it.

In Massachusetts, we have an employee off on "paid" FMLA. She is approved to be out 8 hours per day up to 5 days a week, per episode, renewable whenever warranted. Our small business is strapped because there are no restrictions. We can't depend on this employee to come to work or stay at work. Our attorney said we are out of luck.

Do you do this while you’re applying or once you get the job and request remote work ?

If you request ra, very reasonable little things, headset, desk, away from high traffic and loud "neighbors". Not made priority. Those are not given even if they are approved. Recently put in for a wfh accom due to panic disorder among the other ra's, they denied it. In oklahoma, know of anyone willing to assist?
