I relate alot to what you say about not wanting to do a job because you don’t like the brand. I had the opportunity to do some styling for the brand BALR. but I was hesitating first because I don’t really like the brand. I am glad I did it and I learned a lot from it.

In my opinion, it`s way more important to be proactive, passionate, and resourceful than to have formal education or a ton of experience in styling. I would rather hire an assistant that gets stuff done (without micromanaging) than someone who has a nice insta portfolio

Yh sure, experience definitely helps, I would say education is still important even though most are able to do it without. Also, I see your last point on Insta portfolio, my aim was to not underestimate the power of building a platform. It’s a good way to get recognized and also to gain opportunities which can lead to more experience.
