Until then I'm pumped to have the subscribers that I have! I honestly can't believe it , I've haven't been on KZbin (as a creator) for a super long time yet, but I'm having a BLAST making these vids! Thank you SO much for the comment and the vote of confidence! Pumped to have you here!

Agree with everyone else. Severely underrated! Kept it straight to the point, added some humor, and some real world relatable knowledge.

Oh... Such a big topic Thanks Everything that mentioned in acimments a relevant And on the same time you always have to have your backpack And someting on a weels with a handle ifyou need this extra... Tripid, c-stand,light,boom..stands ) And a bag with a totall completed camera setup is must have to go to for the documentary shooting thats true (But with a place to hol another gear somhere at the moment.thsts true too) But back to traditional backpak setup How to fid the balance of amount if package and soft shockless material and an ability to pack everything Some small grip, nano clamps, magic arms, camera, lebses, wires , sound wires of all kind, usb wires if all kind, mics , tapes, zip,ties,rooes, cards,ssds, batteries, npf970,npf50,AA,18650,chargers for everything, multitools,some deffusion, minu lights, powerbanks for them, wires , righing, some gels and defusdions , just electricity cords How the hell is to pack it all ) I dont drive... So got to keep it all on the shoulders ) to catch a bus with that and so on ) Few camers , pair of tripods ...light ..on the back )) Anyway you try to pack it . Ir on opposite side whant to use a lot of "foam" or any soft padding... A plastic bags for everything to protect it from dust or water Selica gel to protect everything from moisture and changinging if temperature from -20 C outside and plus 25 inside Ans so on

"How to pack at it all" - THAT is absolutely the struggle! :) The perfect solution probably doesn't exist, but its fun trying to find it!

This was awesome and I especially like the bell graph that shows what is actually essential. The graph gave me an idea to have a few multi-use sections for different loadout needs I have. My biggest loadout need is actually just for my standard remote job and includes adapters, elgato streamdeck (for macros I use often) and basic lighting and mic for my video conferences to look good. Then, I have my video/photography setup in which I replace the elgato with my DJI drone, my adapter area with my gimbal et cetera. So, it's really easy to keep my pockets the same but to switch loadouts in seconds.

Thank you!! That means a lot! :) I probably spent a year "waiting" to start a channel because I wanted to have a "cool" background, lol! (a poor excuse) So the day finally came where I decided to just roll with what was here in studio and I'd figure out the background along the way! I shoot a lot of commercial work in the construction industry, hence all the tools, etc... Long story short, I'm pumped to hear that you like it! That was a real point of concern of mine! Thanks again! Glad to have you in the comments!

Great insight- thanks for this! For those of us (like me) who don’t do a ton of flying and are mostly taking autos to and from jobs, I have to put in my 2 cents for my recent acquisition- the Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0. It’s a modular system with rugged wheels and s built in hand cart design that is waterproof, holds a ton and is built to last. Plus, it’s technically not “video gear”, so it’s a good 30% cheaper than I imagine a similar camera brand might charge! 😂 Check it out, the organization and overall mobility has been really life changing for me, hope it can help someone else!

And here I thought I had tried every method of transporting camera gear! Lol! What an innovative idea, thanks for the insight! That thought is definitely going to live in my head for a while.... I LOVE organized gear and that provides a lot of opportunity for it! I'll drop a link at the end of this comment for anyone else that reads this and finds it worth considering! And you're right, not being "camera gear" HAS to help the price out! Haha! Thanks again for sharing the idea, glad to have you in the conversation! www.dewalt.com/systems/toughsystem?gclid=CjwKCAjwzY2bBhB6EiwAPpUpZjeWNvAYSIYDtYZ72r0lfh3eHPdsv1zuyPFauRPczBgITKx5oR-q2RoCIYMQAvD_BwE#storage

Hey Troy, only came across your vids today: impressive:) And really like the way you think about being efficient, compact, mobile etc( I watched the C70 rig video which was excellent) I’ve been using the C300mk2 for the last 4 years. Great camera but I’m planning on minimizing my gear: so quite a change/challenge. Anyway I’m wondering what is your Bcam ? The R5? What do you think about the R62? Thanks again
@TroyMairs
@TroyMairs Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid, I could talk about camera stuff all day! :) Truthfully, I haven't found the "perfect" B-cam yet to my C70. I'm currently using the R7 actually! I got it as a "temporary" solution until the right body came along, but I haven't hated it! I pretty well dismissed the R5/R6 when they were overheating on everybody, I'd never be comfortable relying on them because of that. R5C has the battery issue. So yea! The R62 would probably be my go to if I had to pick from what was available today, I'm holding out yet to see what NAB has in store for the R cinema line, internal ND's carry a lot of weight in my decision!

Thanks for sharing! I often have trouble packing, because I’m always trying to be prepared for everything. Not too proud of that . What’s been your experience with Dr. bags? I hear they’re good from r keeping your camera 90%rigged up.
@TroyMairs
@TroyMairs Жыл бұрын
Thanks for joining in Ben! Glad to have you here! I think Dr Bags are a GREAT solution as well! Most notably if most of your work has you in and out of the car at different locations or some variation of that. It also addresses that point of being able to pull your camera out and be ready to shoot in as few steps as possible. So +1 point there! If I had to justify why I’ve opted for a traditional shoulder bag I would say I like that my hands are free to be able to carry/do other things. I also have a little bit harder time security packing a full rig. It’s a bit of a balancing act between speed and security when it comes to packing👍 Great question! Thanks again for joining the conversation!
