Ive been following your page for about a year now, i recently got my adjuster license. I decided to start in auto claim's, from what I've heard it's easier for beginners than Property.. any tips specifically for the auto route etc.? Thank you!

I started in auto as well and I completely agree, it was easier starting there than in property claims. Usually in auto it’s one policy as opposed to 4-5 in property. After getting comfortable in auto it’s easier to branch into other departments I feel.

Thank you Chris and yes that was a great job! Homeowner claims is a whole different beast. There’s a pretty big learning curve if you’re not familiar with building materials, but after that it’s managing workload, working with Public adjusters and attorneys and people that are in disarray because of their homes.

@@Msrichardson68 it depends on your customer service abilities and file handling. Some companies will allow you to apply for the position so make sure your resume and certifications are in order.

I am currently life insurance license in California But after getting into the insurance industry I developed an interest in the different types of insurances and I've actually been interested in becoming a claims adjuster I love that I came across your video right now because it kind of gives me some insight to what to expect I would love to know what company you work with or if you just say different companies to look at as far as getting into becoming a claims adjuster

Oh ok I’ve known a few past colleagues that went into life insurance I hear it can be pretty lucrative. I don’t share the company I work with online but I can tell you Progressive and Geico have trainee programs for people that are brand new to adjusting. I’d also recommended checking the normal sites like indeed and google to show you what’s available at multiple companies in your area. That’s how I search. Good luck and thank you for watching!

Full transparency, I have in the past. But these days? You couldn’t pay me to argue with these people. I let them vent their frustrations but I stand my ground and I don’t go back and forth.

I did Medicare Advantage and was promoted to Life Insurance for about a year. Medicare Advantage is straight forward but doesnt pay that much. Life Insurance pays much better but it requires excellent sales skills. Honestly, I struggled in Life Insurance because I am not a natural sales person. As such, I am now researching P&C.
