Good question! Generally, when I think of lines which are angular, I’m thinking of ideas/lines which have a lot of leaps or intervalic ideas. I always tell students at first learn melodic ideas which are more diatonic to control being able to clearly play the melody

Newbie here. Are these the same techniques Carol Kaye is referring to when she talks about chord melody? I ordered some theory books from her and it was a little to advanced.
