Hi Rod :-) Thanks for the update. I arrive in Cebu on Tuesday 18th November and will be sailing to Bohol so I'm curious if the ferry is sailing

Good morning Rod. My girlfriend just went over to Bantayan island for a wedding at 1am, and told me that by 2am, the ferris were being canceled due to a signal 1 storm warning.

Interesting Michael. I can see a couple of ferries coming into Cebu now.

The Horn of Africa which is extremely dry received tons of rain all at once causing flooding where the people had never seen in their lifetimes. It was also costly for these are countries are struggling already before even Covid. We will see lots of refugees all of the world from Climate Change.

Good points Dan. Most weather forecasters have no training in how our sun's various types of energies and storms affects weather here on earth and other planets. The weakening of earths magnetic shield also has a major impact. A good resource is THE WEATHERMAN'S GUIDE TO THE SUN, if you are interested in more of the science and cycles on the sun and earth climate.

Thx Rod. You are very savvy with those weather website/apps Being a tropical area, S.E Asia seems to get hammered by those big storms.

Thanks Brent. This is quite unusual for this time of year.

I believe the Philippines needs to try to discourage settlements in the north of Manila. Unfortunately those starms are goimg to hit every way. There is no getting away from these storms in the Philippines. But we have major weather events all over the globe with Spain having flooding that killed a lot of people. The surprising thing was the public were not notified how bad the storm was going to be and so people were outside on the roads.

Poor Philippines...they are not wealthy like the US. These storms are so costly. All the money that would go towards progress and improvements has now have to be used for recovery and repair. Very sad. So much destruction. So sad.

Unfortunately Climate Change is very real. I know that first hand as i live in the Gulf Court area in the US for 40 years and i have seen the frequency and the more intense hurricanes hit us on this side with each year!! I wish i could move out but i can't afford to move out!! Climate Change is very real. I feel for the Philippines. It is not going to get better just like for us. This is a nightmare!
