Glad you gained some ELO with the team Dan. And yes, there are some core breakers just like any team, but having played with the team for several seasons now I’ve learned how to play my way out of most corebroken situations (at least the ones that are possible to play out of.) This isn’t a team that you pick up and play for a few sets. Like most teams, the more you play with it the more familiar you become and you’ll start to figure out how to win against many of those tricky mons. Have you hit legend yet?

The ELO gaining team for me this past week has been charm shadow A9 lead, shadow Gligar and Lanturn. Not perfect or overly creative but I’ve enjoyed playing it. ASlash is tricky to face and mud bois are tough for the backline, but overall it’s worked for me and I’ve found the team can manoeuvre decently well. Since you mentioned ELO climbing, Since my terrible 7-18 Tuesday, which left me at 1922, I have climbed thusly: Wed 17-8, elo 2050,, Thur 15-10, elo 2125,, Fri 13-7, elo 2213,, Sat 13-12, elo 2230,, Sun 10-5, elo 2302(!). Monday was my first losing day since Tuesday, at 11-14, which dropped me down to 2259. I'm not even disappointed though, because a few of those 14 losses were pure RPS that I could have won with different alignment, and a few of them were just really fun, intense matches. I know these numbers still suck, but they're good for me, and I appreciate all of the information that you provide us. Thanks Dan!

This has been a crazy season for me, so when it comes to the open great leaque I just can not for the life of me climb, when the cups come around I climb and reached to 2650 elo. I just can't find a team that works in the open great leaque

I commented on one of your previous videos on a team suggestion for hitting legend I struggled this season but I went from 2400s to now 3020 using shadow a slash lead gator safe swap and azu in the back only had a couple of 2-3 sets rest was all positive a lot of 4-1s and 5-0s (It also beats this team lol)

Less people are playing, you can clearly see it in the elo. People with 2600+ already are playing like crazy, way harder to reach legend this season.

I would say yes, but seeing legends in the 2600.. im not that great but battles against fellow veterans and experts, " feel " right.. if your legend why are you this low? Give me a good answer and it could change my mind.

​@XxZooMxX82 maybe they are on a losing streak, the could be purposely losing elo as well. I deff wouldn't consider it gatekeeping. Match making goes off your current elo. Not your current rankings. I'm veteran but was on a losing streak, I was battling ace rank battles because of my elo.

If you really are stressing about hitting legend this season, stop putting out 2/3 videos a day with loads of random teams that you ran for like 2 sets and gave up on because you didn't see instant success with (not talking about this video specifically) & just stick to 1 team.

He said in an earlier video that having good fresh content is more important to him than hitting legend. I hope he's at least saving some sets per day for non-content good teams, but he has his priorities.

New season scrafty with thunder punch is somehow interesting, because of not really much real flyers actual, the skarmory but sceafty resists the steel wingspans can fire extreme fast extreme hard back than, I don’t know, maybe wish thinking because I’m sick of the meta and like scrafty a lot

Empoleon almost feels better than Lanturn. Resists steel, charm, walls ice. Can beat other steels. ABA weak to counter but can at least hit for SE with Drill Peck.

guzzlord is simply much better, for example, it can tank one x-scissor from charjabug and not be farmed down by volt switches, zweilous dies to the voltswitch farmdown. guzz's moveset is also just better overall, CAN you use zwei? sure, is it as good? no.

It’s the same as when people ask Dan, I don’t have a togdemaru. Can I use magnzone instead? The answer is.. not exactly. They have the same typings but different moves and stats that means they don’t get used the same way. Figure out what guzzlords role on the team is and then try to find what else can fill that role even if the typings aren’t the same
