My Dad sported that last look of the suit with the collar worn outside in the 1950s. That is one of my early memories of him in Florida, in a grey suit with the collar outside of the suit lapel. That was nearly 70 years ago, showing again that there is not much new in the world. We repeat things from time to time. Thanks for the memory.

Great outfit ideas Brian! I got some questions though: 1. The break on your pants is nice, somehow it looks good with oxfords but short enough to not look sloppy with loafers, what do you tell your tailor to do with the break? 2. What is the rise on your pants? Looks really well proportioned.

Thanks! I have a very, very slight break as you note. I like to have it just a little more than kiss the top of my shoe. So then if the fabric wrinkles at the back of the knee--as it always will throughout the day--the pants don't seem too short. The rise is a normal rise. It's the house rise of our collection with MAB.

Hi Brian. Nice video once again. Do you have any pictures, where I can see how your trousers fit, when you stand fully upright (not pushing the knee forward or so). I'm trying to find the sweet spot in how my trousers should be tailored. They tend to look too roomy when I stand upright. Best regards

Sounds like you have too much room in the thigh. What I can tell you is that it is a learning process and trial and error. You can't expect to nail it right away with a tailor.

I loved the striped tie with the ice blue dress shirt with the tie being from Brooks Brother s, the brown boots were outstanding 👌.
