I’m still driving my 95 Silverado. My boat was built in 87. As far as my stack goes, not even my wife knows how much I have…. For that matter, I don’t exactly know either. For some reason, I just got the notification of this video. Good old KZbin 🤦🏻♂️ 🏁✌️

Yes I just recently purchased a 2013 F150 4×4 5.0 with 66,000 miles on it and completely went through it. Changed every fluid, belt, hose and plugs, put new tires and lug nuts on it, and it now drives excellent. I only put about 6,000 miles a year, so it should last a long time.

I drive a 20 year old truck. My sunday car is a 32 year old car that i bought in cash. No rent or mortgage payments. I invest in my business and save in precious metals. No debt. Buy my cheap clothes on Amazon, my sneakers on sale. My only vice when spending money is with delivered food. This allows me to spend more time working and earning.

Stacked another 4 ounces of Silver today at an antiques and coin fair in Ireland. I purchased 2 x 2023 UK Britannia's and 2 x 2023 Irish 'Tree of life', one ounce coins. All @ .999 purity. Not a huge amount but every time I buy some more Silver I feel that little bit more protected.

What kind of help do you need? Are you saying the gold coin is in a hard plastic case (slab) and has a grade from NGC or PCGS … or that you have a coin that you think is in pristine condition and you would like to get it graded?

I don't necessarily agree with all your 5 points, Silver Heist. I do agree with your first 3 points - keeping it a secret, budgeting and being frugal. However, reasonable car and home ? That's questionable in today's economic times. It's better to have no car and home - to rent than to own a home. Why should you not have a car ? There are too many expenses that come with a car whether it's a reasonably priced car or an expensive one. Consider monthly payments you have to make, paying for registration and your licence every year, the amount you pay for gasoline and maintenance and the worst part of it, your car depreciates in value over time. You have lost most of the money you put into your car. Then think of the pollution from the byproducts of combustion - so it's not only hard on your pocket book but it's bad for the environment.
@SilverHeist4 ай бұрын
A bicycle or taking the subway if you live in the city is a reasonable car alternative.

Sounds like you can't afford a car or home. Therefore you need to earn more and spend less on junk and entertainment....
@SilverSteeler724 ай бұрын
To say owning your own home isn’t being successful sounds like sour grapes on your part. Of course it’s better to be investing your money into owning a home vs. renting.

Reasonable home ? Thats questionable too, Silver Heist. Its better to rent than to own a home. Heres why? People who go for homes think of equity. They say you are not building equity if you rent. Thats true, but neither are they. When you think of the totality of expenses that come with a new home - maintenance fixing this and that, pipes freezing in the winter, bad neighbors you inherit, roofing problems, basements leaking , snow shoveling, house taxes as a result of value appreciation, mortgage payments over time - what equity have you built over time ? Its better to rent - if there are problems you just report it to the property manager or landlord. If you go on a vacation, you just lock up and go. Those who own homes usually cannot go ob vacation. If you have people you dont get along with, you can move when you rent, with a home, you have to wait for your house to sell which can take time.
@SilverHeist4 ай бұрын
Valid points. I have chosen to own.

Let’s see, rental costs for a decent apartment nowadays will run you about $1,200, and you may have to pay an electric bill (much lower than for a home), and laundry services (unless it comes with laundry hookup), so we’re looking at closer to $1,300 per month. When you decide to retire, those same bills will follow you wherever you go, and in the end (assuming) you marry, have children (which would lead to a bigger rental place, and larger rent cost), and want to leave them something, what do you have? Your car (if it’s paid off), maybe a little savings, some furniture? No, I believe a home is a necessity for building some of your wealth, which can be left to your children in the end. Yes, over time you will spend much more on mortgage, taxes, and insurance (probably more like $1,700 a month), along with monthly bills and overall upkeep, but you will have the freedom from pesky (and sometimes questionable) neighbors on the other side of your walls, and you do with it as you please. Put in a pool, entertain family and friends, get a dog, have a garage sale, paint the walls, remodel (if you have the funds), but my point is that a home (property) is one of the crucial ways to build some wealth for your family, not to say savings (which should be mostly in Gold) is any less important, but real estate definitely an asset in your wealth portfolio. When my Mom and Dad had both past, most of their cash was gone. There was a little bit of stock, but most of our (my siblings & myself) inheritance came from my parents home, and the sale of their home allowed us all to have tens of thousands of dollars each. I truly appreciate the gift from them, as do my siblings, because if they were only renting, and living off their social security (and my Dad’s pension), there would have been practically nothing to leave to us. Now that I am I father, along with our home, I stockpile as much as I can afford in Silver & Gold for my son. I really feel it’s a parents responsibility to try to leave something for their children, to help them live a better life when they are gone. In conclusion, do what you think is best for you, but a home, in my eyes, will always be your biggest investment, even if it ends being for your children in the end. God bless.
