If i’m getting a full oz it’s most definitely going to be the buffalo. Betting there are others who think the same. Maybe thats some of the reason for the 1oz eagles being less minted. Cheers!😊

Good premiums for the size for sure! And they add up to real full ounces quickly.

Great show and good to see the chalkboard again. Like a popular coin dealer from Florida said on yt: full oz are the cheapest way to get some bullion gold, but nowadays most folks can´t afford it. And I can confirm this statement from the other side of the ocean, similar situation over here. Keep it up, and see you on the next one, Robert. 👍 Greets from GER, U.

Fantastic analysis. Thank you for breaking this down. I have consistently bought 1/10th oz gold eagles this year and while premiums may be more than other 1/10oz gold, my LCS is super fair with premiums and the size is more budget friendly. It is nice seeing my tactic confirmed in your video.

I don't have a favorite gold coin size... What I buy is determined by how much I have available at the time of purchase. I think the half-ounce gold coin has an unfair reputation, because $1300 - $1400 is FAR more doable than $2600 - $2700. But for people on a budget like me, who don't have more than $1000 to spend, the 1/10oz and 1/4oz gold coins are both good sizes for me because sometimes I only have between $200 and $300 to spend. I haven't bought a 1/2oz gold coin yet, but I always sit on the sidelines during bull runs and massive upswings, so if I have the money to buy a larger coin (1/2oz or 1oz) when a buying opportunity comes, then I will do it. I predicted last year that gold will (not may, but WILL) become so expensive that the fractional sizes will overtake the full ounce size in liquidity. However, my prediction was more closer to the next decade and it's starting to happen after only a year had passed. So my view, as you stated, Any gold with premiums is better than no gold at all, so if you're STILL saving for a full ounce, then you're making a mistake. Unless you're literally $hitting money, just buy fractional and buy regularly.
@SilverHeist

The available funds are the biggest driver of what coin to buy. The fractionals are going to stay popular with these high gold prices. Buy what you can when you can. ⭐️

I have made only one gold purchase this year and it was a 1/2oz eagle. 1oz being so expensive and 1/4oz having a high premium the 1/2oz coin seemed like the perfect midway compromise. Besides if you can afford a 1/10oz you can afford a 1/4oz. I really see no point in buying 1/10oz gold. I mean just get silver at that point

Although the 1/10th has the highest premium….its still a cheaper premium than a 1 ounce silver Eagle…..so I’d stick with the 1/10th. I never understood why people don’t like the 1/2 ounce size. It is a super low premium for the cost. I’m still sticking with random $5 gold commemorative coins…US Gold and cheaper premium than a 1 ounce AGE. Round trip, I think it’s a better deal. So my only thought with buying gold for your next car….selling $25,000 or so in eagles maybe a hard thing to do all at once. You maybe stuck getting a two year loan and selling a few ounces a month to repay that loan later on. Just my thoughts. I save my old car payment into TBills….various durations so that in a few month period, everything comes matured and cash is there. Thanks for sharing!
@SilverHeist
@SilverHeist Күн бұрын
The 1/10 or other affordable gold options are good plays. The Tbills is a safe play on loaning the government $2950 (or so) and getting paid back $3000 a few months later. Keep stacking and saving.

I'm seeing 1/10 eagles at just over $290 but I'm seeing 1/10 britannias for $268 from dealers on ebay! I really wish the 1/10 eagle had a more reasonable premium right now like say $275-$280. $290 is a 14% premium. Those are silver like premiums but silver can close that gap really fast in a few weeks. Also wish the mint would make a 1/10 or 1/4 gold coin in .999 gold. If I were to buy an oz I would pick the gold buffalo over the eagle for purity.
@SilverHeist
@SilverHeist Күн бұрын
All good points. Compared to years ago, a 14% premium is low. 20% could be typical and sometimes higher for 1/10. The Buffalo is a beautiful pure gold coin. Fractional Buffalos would be a nice coin.

1/10th oz coins have the highest markup. Silver is best for trading or bartering at this fractional level. Gold like 1 oz or 1/2 oz is a store of value.

It’s so hard to look at those 1/10 oz prices right now. But hopefully we will see a little bit of a pull back. I like getting 1/4 oz when buying fractional but that’s getting really hard for me 🥲
@SilverHeist
@SilverHeist 23 сағат бұрын
The 1/4 are getting expensive! It's hard to also see the 1/10 because I know how many I got below $225 or even lower. But all those are POSITIVE with $2500 gold, so $290 gold will be fine with $3000 gold.

Would I convert 22 & 1/8 of an ounce of Silver for 1/4 Oz of Gold? No. Maybe convert 44 & 1/4 of an ounce of Silver for 1/2 an ounce of Gold? Still No. Or would I convert 88 & 1/2 of an ounce of Silver for (just) 1 oz of Gold? Still the same answer. No.
