@ none so far but I’m about to do all the ones you show in your video. My biggest problem with any platform is they’re a pain in the ass hauling up the tree and setting

I use the Predator platform and your ideas are great, especially the inner tube for the buckle. I already have the paint and am thinking of two small pieces of a carpet tied to the platform to both quiet it and insulate my boots from the metal on very cold days. Thank you Sir. Tim

Another thing to use that nite ize gear tie for in that exact location is a hands free install of the platform at hunting height. Hook it to your linemens rope and your platform with hang there while you can use both hands to get your strap around the tree and tightened down!

I will be adding the bike tube for sure this year on my gear, but not the biggest fan of the gear ties. Have you ever looked into Voile Straps off amazon. I use them to old stick and platform to my back pack and can get them pretty tight. Thanks for the video. I use Trophyline EDP, and hawk platforms. The EDP is a does grip the tree better than the hawk.

The bike tube works well. Do this soon so the rubber smell has time to dissipate. I actually put mine in some dirt for a week to help take away some of the smell. I'll have to look at the Voile Straps. Thanks for watching.

1. Paint job unnecessary for concealment. Aluminum rapidly oxidizes and creates a natural matte finish. Paint if one likes the look, but definitely not necessary. 2. Ditch the gear tie. Alternatively, secure one loop of the strap to the button on the post, wrap it once around the collapsed platform, secure the other loop to the toothed cleat on the backside of the post, pull the strap tight. Secure a loop of shock cord on the tag end of the strap, wrap the remaining strap length around the folded platform and loop the shock cord over whatever works (post, cleat, corner of platform, etc). 3. Great paracord application! Nice weave too.

I don't care which platform you run, you gotta replace the strap and buckle. Use an 1/8" USA pro mod. Very simple to make, or if you're not into making stuff outta amsteel, you can order them from the amsteel guy. They get way tighter than the straps, have no metal to clink around and weigh an 1/8 of what a strap and buckle do
