Quick question - does the mpc support usb audio? a great feature would be to create your song on the MPC, then dump each track to a daw when it was time for vocals and mixing.... also, fyi musicians friend is guitar center. i still remember getting the old musicians friend catalogs :)

hey Bboy I'm thinking of grabbing the X but still emotionally connected to my 5000 (and my money haha)! I had a cuople questions : Do you know if the X will read the 5000's files w/ sequences ? And what kind of 'clock' did they use in the X ? Is it simular to any of the previous MPC's and whats the resolution or PPQ on the X ? Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks ...sick ass studio BTW

Have you tried hooking USB Audio interface into it? That would be a great way to expand the audio I/O of the new MPCs. especially the smaller MPC Live.
@midilyfestyle7 жыл бұрын
Dorian James External audio interfaces aren't recognized by the standalone
@mr.DorianJames7 жыл бұрын
jozeph gee that's a missed opportunity. Maybe in a future update
@V4D26 жыл бұрын
i've been exploring this option before i get myself a Live too. And , i reckon one could instead..buy an interface that can do standalone as well..and that way.. one can just expand the Live's inputs. Has anyone tried this ?
@boothbuster5 жыл бұрын
V4D2 nope there is no ADAT or digital port to expand I/O. Would be dope if there was! Only way to expand is to connect to computer.

Sleepydog You cannot. The only midi in it responds to is keyboard midi data for the currently active program, as well as transport functionality

Great vid. Have you tried using any of the USB ports to bring audio in from an external USB audio interface ? I'm sure there are a few (million) MPC'ers waiting to see this. Watching this video is making me want to build a friggin time machine.
@midilyfestyle7 жыл бұрын
Mr. Liquor External audio interfaces won't work with the MPC in standalone mode. The software will let you use an audio interface, but I'm sure that's not what you're hoping to fo

I just buy an mpc x , and I’m using it with the software , but every time I shut the mpc down it ask me if I safely ejected the driver or drivers , it also says that if I shut the mpc down without safety ejected drivers can damage the sistem files. I’m not using external drivers. On the Back of my mpc x is only connected the usb cable ant the electrical Is that normal that the mpc in controller mode do that , because when I’m using it on standalone mode doesn’t do that

Can you plus a usb microphone?
@joeboygsxr7 жыл бұрын
You should have absolutely no issues plugging lights in the USB within reason that is, most lights such as the one you are using only require a few milliamps to light it and of course no need to worry about the voltage as the USB standard is 5V. If I had one I'd test the maximum current supplied by the USB's but I reckon it would be 500MAH min, plenty to drive all sorts of lights and devices, it may say that info in the manual or online though.

Cool video :) It´s a bummer you cannot hook up external audio interfaces at the moment. It´s weird they cannot get it to work "Class Compliant Style" like an ipad etc...I just fear that if you one day accidentally A/B to a high end studio interface you will always feel that standalone mode is demo-mode :)

TroubledLifeTV no you need Bluetooth transmitter and receiver for that. Look up Avantree on Amazon. Get the AptX-LL rated ones so you get 20 ms or less, otherwise it’s too much lag.
