Despite a handful of things I wish Discogs would change, they recently made some solid changes to the Discogs Artist Page. I take a look in this next video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZTdpayOn8lgrZY

Hey Andy. What i dislike the most is 1- not always getting notified of a new item available in my wantlist for some reason and 2- being told by discogs that there are "3 copies for sale" but all 3 sellers do not ship to my country (?!) Discogs knows which country i'm in, so why bother showing me those listings? 🤷

I really like the new Wantlister, but I don’t like the move from Discogs Email to Notifications change. I almost never look at the notifications. If you haven’t played with Wantlister yet, check it out… some good stuff but it’s all desktop and not mobile at this time. Would be great to have mobile notifications for some of the deeper cuts you can filter to and set up through Wantlister but that’s not yet available.

It would be nice if the export collection option included the tracklist of the release too. I DJ with digital and vinyl formats, some of which I have both versions of the track. When planning playlists/record boxes, it would be nice to know which piece of vinyl has which particular version of a track on it

Having some options in the download/export would be nice. Like the ability to select fields the export could include, like songs or something along those lines.

I really wish they would add films to the archive. And maybe books too.

What is the method for exporting your Discogs collection to something like a CSV file? I'm legally blind and I just haven't seen it yet. I haven't done a whole lot of looking ye but I thought I would ask so it might save me some time. Thanks for any help... Brian in Fort Worth 🎶

Hey Brian! Thanks for chiming in. I'm going to try to put together a quick video on that and get it up in the next few weeks. To describe where to find it, when you are on your My Collection page, there's an "Export Collection" link in the upper right just below the profile area.

@@AndyFenstermaker Sounds good and I'll keep a lookout for the video. Thanks.

At long last, I published the video today on exporting your collection into a CSV. Hope it helps! Note that it's best done via a laptop or desktop computer.

@@AndyFenstermaker Thank you for letting me know Andy. I figured it was probably more of a use of a PC to do it correctly or maybe more easily. Thanks again!

I wish it had an international price, or at least a UK price, for example you cant buy a target lana del rey red vinyl for under 50 dollars in the uk but on discogs the value is about 18 dollars or something crazy. maybe its time for a discogs uk thanks for the video!

Ohhh, that's a great idea -- like a dynamically populated price comparison chart that you can filter by region, country, or continent!

Is there a way to export the UPC of the records in My Collection?
@AndyFenstermaker10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not at this time. However, that's always subject to change. For example, a relatively new column in the Collection export is the Release ID field. The only way I can think of doing that is to add a Custom Field in your collection and manually input it from the release page. That's what I've done in the past with the Release ID.

Mine is pretty simple. How about an release date for the original album and not just the reissue. I would like to have an option to quickly view say how many records I have from a particular year because I'm a classic music nerd. I can't seem to do that as it goes by the release date of the reissue. Frustrating
@AndyFenstermaker Жыл бұрын
Oh, I like that. Like, displaying what the original release year is on the reissue page as well?
