blizzard always try to make games easier , even diablo 2 is getting dumb stuff like sunder charms. I just wish they could make 2 DIFFICULTY and be done with it, an easy mode for casuals and a hard mode for hardcore players. I dont know why game REFUSE to do this these days, its become a weird trend. Why not let the player chose? give us a classic diablo 2 option where players can play d2r but with a classic diablo 2 gameplay, i would prefer that , i do not like the changes they made. That could be applied to diablo 4, I dont want an easy game i want to THINK AND MAKE CHOICES with some CHALLENGE, if diablo 4 is too easy, i will not buy that game. They should start listening to their players if they want their money OH and i DONT UNDERSTAND why people care that much, if the game is bad its bad..... let it die, cyberpunk was garbage, its dead and no one cares

And when I heard that they got the nerve to give a few promotion words about Diablo Immortal on that live stream. It was like they spit in my face, and it really showed the attitude they have that no matter what they will push their monitization shit and that they really dont care that much for the game itself to turn out any good.

What strikes me more and more: I started playing in the 90s. At that time, games were regarded as art. The developers saw themselves as artists and the game was in the foreground. Today, profit maximization is the priority. A lot of development goes into getting maximum profit out of the game rather than making it a work of art. Today they only talk about art, but basically it's just a facade. Regarding trading, the only reason Blizzard cares about botting or thrid party trading is because they don't make any money from it. They don't care about the rest.

One of the best endgame systems is the loot hunt and collecting the super rare items. The grail is great and takes years to complete. The incredibly rare runes and runewords are part of that experience. This is what D2 got right along with balance and making most areas of game important. D3 made the endgame GR dependent and paragon grind. This endgame gets to be pointless after a while and tiresome. The rarest things are the wings from the rainbow goblin portal. They do nothing for gameplay. D4 so far has FOMO, Battle passes for cosmetics and lots of open world areas to explore with dungeons and big bosses at the end. What are we really working towards with the game? Cosmetic collection gets old quickly. The game will be very short-lived if this is the emphasis. Bosses are great, but please no memorizing mechanics like Lost Ark. FOMO is too MMO and gets old if you feel obligated to login everyday. Grinding dungeons is cool, but after you finish them and get the codex reward, there is little reason to do them again. The paragon board sounds ok, and we'll have to see where it takes the game. Is there going to be a system like the super rare loot hunt? Is there going to be something to work towards? Killing mobs and bosses isn't the endgame. Finding rare stuff that they drop is the endgame.
@imlost19 Жыл бұрын
to me the core of diablo is cool loot slot machine. What the hell is the point of a cool loot slot machine if you can literally just buy the coolest looking lot? You're taking away half the game by adding in cosmetics to a LOOT BASED GAME. this is a deal breaker for me. i'll probably still end up buying it and just playing through the campaign and dumping it afterwards. To me all it is is a neat RPG with a semi-interesting story. They've completely removed that slot machine loot wheel that was essential to Diablo 2. The only thing you needed to spend was time.

I also remember how they released D3 demo up to the Skele king and how this part of the game was well received/refined however after, it became a bit of a mess at parts. I can see something similar happening with the current D4. The trading aspect is where I will actually hold out from buying the game in it's first week. D2 with it's 3rd party sites, being able to go into god mode gear with no issue. D3 with the auction house, just buy most yellow gear there instead of spending hours of farming that might be a upgrade. Overall, I'll be waiting a week after launch to see how the game health is. I'm sure I'll get it however I refuse to contribute to any pre-purchase rubbish they throw our way.

cosmetic items have ruined role playing games. Soon enough players will be driving around sleighs throwing snowballs at each other. Its a shame because diablo has one of the best themes of any video game. Diablo 1, diablo 2, and even diablo 3 at release still kept you in that world oozing with theme and charm. You felt like you were in the world, not just in a video game. That immersion will be broken the minute you see a level 9 rogue with literal angel wings riding around on a hoverhorse with magdha butterfly armor. Surely his pet mini-diablo wont break immersion. Diablo 3 saved you from this though, even right now, because you can just play solo and not have any of those things yourself. This game however FORCES you to play with other players, see them in the world hoverhorsing around, and to me it just becomes a video game at that point. It sucks because diablo was definitely one the last few true role playing games with excellent loot systems and it seems like diablo is losing both. Its just an action arcade game now.

For the most part I agree. Especially for the additional features of the deluxe and ultimate editions. This is a big "NO NO" for me. But the part with collector's edition not having a copy of the game in my opinion this is great! Let me explain. About 2 months ago I preordered World of Warcraft Dragonflight collector's edition for 130€. Within the box it includes a redeemable key for epic edition of the game which could be bought from the Blizzard app for 90€. So in other words the physical box costs 40€. But because it was as 1 product I couldn't pre-purchase the game from the app and should have wait for the copy to be delivered. Which as it turns out that due to some logistic problems of the delivery company it was so delayed that it arrived at 30th of November while the game was released at 28th November. So I decide to buy it from the app (knowing that when I redeem the code I will gain the money I invested for second time as a blizzard balance which I used to buy Diablo 4). But if I haven't done it I wouldn't be able to start playing from the release and would have missed some cosmetics awarded for pre-purchase (not the most important thing but still why missing something that I deserve anyway) without that being my fault whatsoever. And on top of that I could have buy the standard/heroic edition (instead of the epic) if I wanted which were much cheaper. So it would have been much better if the price of the Collector's edition was 40€ and not including the game (which once again I could buy from the app) instead of 130€ with the game that costs 90€. On the subject of Diablo 4 - I think the price for the collector's edition is waaaaay too high (for Europe it's 110€). Compared to the 40€ of the WoW I don't see what more it has. But I guess that's a whole other subject. When it comes to whether or not it should includes a copy of the game - I am 100% against having it inside. It is unnecessary!

As for the Dynamic bosses I'd have to see more of, but it does seem like they're trying to make this game newbie friendly (gateway game to ARPGs or something) Only thing I really disagree on is the Collector's Box. I can buy the digital version of the game and play it D1 or in some cases early because of the early access while also getting all the collector's items on a different day, I won't have to wait for the collector's box to arrive via mail to get the code to play the game, and potentially can just get the collector's items before the game even launches. Game price I see a lot of people talk about it being expensive, if you were to subtract the base $70 price tag from most collector's editions you'd get around the price of the collector's box or higher depending on what's in it. Really the only thing that isn't to great about it is that people will assume it comes with the game on first glance but they have been clearly stating it does not include the game, even to the point that they call it a "Collector's Box" and not a "Collector's Edition". I've seen some people say "how much would it actually hurt for them to just include the game but keep the same price" just think about if they sell like 1000 of them. That's $70,000 that they'd lose out on. I understand there's a lot of psychology that comes to play with the separation but I haven't seen anyone give a concrete negative to it, just "It's just them being greedy" or "blah blah monetization" but it's not like they're charging 2x the amount of the game and not giving you the game.

Sometimes shipping is delayed which would prevent you from playing the game at launch if it's bundled. I know it’s dependent on your class/spec/build but I thought you’d be interested in this idea and maybe you could make a fleshed out video with “tier lists” based on class/etc and maybe an overall priority tier list (one that is not based on class/build but just overall what’s generally the most useful use of X rune when you first get it) So I just found an Ohm rune and I made a CTA for example because imo the CTA is the top priority for the Ohm rune.

First off, We know that blizzard is going to do things like FOMO game editions, and FOMO battlepasses, but I honestly think that people, being well aware of Diablo Immortals monetization, are for the most part not going to give in to Blizzards greediness. Of couse some players are, but I don't think people are going to want to give in to spending money in game when the game is at a higher price already. The bosses issue is okay in my opinion, because Diablo 4 is going to have over 100 dungeons. I get it, it is frustrating to feel that the bosses in diablo 4 are going to be somewhat similar(maybe even the same), but it is a lot of work to implement a variety of bosses when there is over 100 dungeons to complete. In conclusion, I have heard many GOOD things about the story, visuals, customization, and combat. I honestly think that this game will be good, and most of the playerbase will overlook Blizzard's greediness. Then again, I could be wrong. It's not D2 rare+ Legendary's... It's basic ass rares that you have to turn to legendry's to make good.. There will be no market for them outside of first few days.. I guess I would say is that if the game had 100% free trading, people would just be able to go to real money trading sites and buy everything that they need. They would be able to just buy Uniques as well which can't have their affixes switched. If you limit the trading to just rare, magic, and common items as they have, you still leave open an avenue for players to trade powerful and important items for gearing, but someone can't just trade/buy themselves to an S-tier build. They still have to do some work and find the affexis they need. I think the key is that rares will be important and sought after, but they alone can't make someones build.

@@justinflemming2542 I mean have you actually played it or are just saying it's shit based on looks? The combat is slower paced like D2 and feels very tight. Its not sloppy at all. Between Last Epoch, Poe, D2, and D3 I would say it probably feels the cleanest of them all. Now that doesn't mean there isn't certain aspects I don't like (i.e restricted trading, boss fights etc). But I mean everyone has a different opinion. If you think the game is completely garbage you always have D2 to play. And I say this with D2 being my favorite game of all time.

@@Dbrunski125 I've played the end game beta and it plays exactly like Diablo 3. We both know it does. Stop pretending like it doesn't.

Here are my comments and opinions on the video and if I think you are on point of off base. 1. Using FOMO to Sell Game Editions The only issue I have here is the four days early access to the game. A number of developers are doing this with their games. Is this a way to further stress test the servers before the main launch four days later? Maybe? We all know there will be long wait times to log in and play the game on launch. Diablo 3's launch had hours of wait time and the dreaded error 37. Assuming the same for Diablo 4's launch, honestly I think the four days access is just playing with people hype to play the game as early as possible. This is just Blizzard capitalising on this financially. Also the early beta access there I think is a good move. Beta access for Diablo 3 had two options. Either you were a popular streamer or gaming journalist that Blizzard actually liked and were given a beta pass or you had to win a beta pass from the streamers Blizzard liked. The liked Blizzard streamers were given lots of beta passes to give away. Most of the streamers used the passes as bait to get you to watch more of their content or subscribe. Basically a tool for the streamers to get more stream views and view/advertising revenue. Watching a a few hours of a streamer hoping too a beta key was never fun. I know personally I entered about 20 streamer competitions to get a Diablo 3 beta key. I did get one but it took all of those 20 attempts. Obviously because once you have a key, you stop entering. Not a good system at all. All it did was give bad streamers more views and frustrate the player base. 2. Battle Bass This is just the same system of battle passes used on mobile games, brought into Diablo 4. personally I have always wanted Blizzard to find a way to monetise Diablo outside the base game and expansion purchases. The reason is continual money coming in, will push Blizzard to add more content to the game over time. However it can also lead Blizzard to focusing too much on the monetisation aspects. The most recent developer update video on youtube was a good example of this. Video comments disabled. The Q&A session at the end was clearly just questions chosen by Blizzard thus avoiding to answer the actual questions the community has. Also the focus of these video was to advertise the collectors edition that does not come with the game. A developer video focused on advertising. The mobile game system of battle passes was obviously chosen for Diablo 4 because it works. It brings in lots of revenue for the developers. I do not think it, in itself is morally wrong though. The implementation of to could be immoral though if the core game experience is ruined by too many freemium popups are shown through the game. Ideally the battle pass and microstransaction should be tucked away and only ever seen if the player chooses to go there. Not have popups on screen every so often saying "you have unlocked level 2 of your battle pass" etc etc. And to access that level 2 you will see what you do not get if you did not pay the $10 or whatever for the paid version of the battle pass. This assumes the paid battle pass content is cosmetic only. If this stops being cosmetic only, then that will be a mistake and an immoral move. 3. Restricted Trading I agree with Debrunski. I am not a fan but it is also not a deal breaker for me. This all depends on the itemisation in the game. In Diablo 3, because most builds needed a certain legendary affix, trading was the only way to get that legendary affix with any speed each ladder season. Wanting to try out a build but can't get the legendary affix needed sucks hard. Sure Diablo 4 allows trading of the extracted legendary item affixes and that is the compromise here. You can get the affix but need to still wait to find a good item to put it on. 4. Boss fights should be a little more interesting I agree. However boss fights are not the core Diablo experience. That experience is the elite packs you randomly run into. Are they tough monsters? Do they have an annoying set of monster affixes? What other monsters will get in the way of killing the elites? Will the elite black kill my character? This is where the core Diablo fun is. Not farming the same boss over and over. Diablo 2 got this right with its elite enemies being fun and challenging on hell difficulty. Most of the time, the elite packs were tougher than the act bosses. Diablo 3 did not get this right. The elite packs there did not feel any more special than the average monster. Also the constant boss fights, a few per act were not fun to replay over and over. Scripted Boses, nothing changes, same thing each time. Unlike the elite packs that are different each game. 5. Physical collectors edition I agree with you. Apart from the art book, it feels like a cash grab by Blizzard. Nothing else in there of note. Also what is in this collectors edition is rather sad, when compared to other releases like Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 (Wings of Liberty). Blizzard's collectors editions of recent, (WoW included) have really degraded in quality, from being nice collectors pieces, to now just being cash grabs by Blizzard. A point you did not mention but I feel is becoming a very bad trend across the gaming industry and Diablo 4 unfortunately does this as well. 6. Content exclusive to the digital versions of the game that is impossible to get from the physical disc version. I am aware that game developers get a higher percentage of revenue from each game sale, for digital versions over physical versions. However this does not excuse them for making content digital and/or digital deluxe edition only. Buying the physical disc of Diablo 4 means you miss out on all the digital perks. This practice needs to stop. People should not ben forced to choose which version, digital or physical based on what content they will miss out on. It should be purely based on which delivery method they prefer. This happening here is a very bad thing indeed.

Bots will happen regardless. They should have unrestricted trading if they want to keep people interested season after season. Pretty funny how this single change will positively impact the game. Blizzard are still going back to the drawing board on how to keep the game engaging per season and saying “it’s created by the community” - the community want unrestricted trading. Make Diablo great again.
