For the fuel guage situation, I use the fuel consumption screen. It tells you how much fuel you use as you ride. I guess it's sort of like a reverse fuel guage haha. The gas light usually comes on when you hit 3.5 gal, and I'll just reset it with the wheel when I fill up.

wrt the fuel gauge situation - if the dash is like the 17+ R6, there should be a 'fuel used' meter in it. it's a totalizer, so it doesn't reset itself. what i do is reset it each time i gas up, and since i know how much distance i can cover with it, that becomes my fuel gauge. it's accurate enough in my exp

1. Fuel gauge From all the 1000's this bike is the most track oriented, you dont need fuel gauge on track. Besides it DOES have low fuel warning light. It switches ur f-trip on display. Plus if you arent a brainlets there are plenty of ways to track your fuel 2. Quickshifter down You are right, but only below 6k rpms, quickshifter works best in high rpms. Downshifting in 7,8,9k + rpms is CRISP, how have you not noticed this? 3. Passager seat Completely agree, girlfriend also rides backpack with me and hates it. Buuuut it is a supersport bike made for laptimes on track, its like buying lambo and then crying u cant fit ur kids in the back. 4. Laggy throttle response The default ecu maps - A,B,C and D have all different throttle response, make sure youre in correct mode. As others said, the bike is heavily restricted from the factory, an ecu tune will solve this if it persists. 5. R6 and R1 looks the same Idk what to tell you, they do look very similar, but there's this badge on the side that reads "R1". If you buy mustang 5.0 you can complain it looks similar to inferior v6 3.7 model.

None of my sportbikes ever had a fuel gauge, so we always did the open gas cap/shake the bike thing before every ride, ha-ha. Since I got my '22 Hayabusa, I'm so freakin' spoiled. Not only that, because it's so fuel efficient, unless I get on it a lot, the tank will last for such a long time. I'll really get sad if my next bike doesn't have a fuel gauge. I'm thinking of a '24 R1 (before it gets updated), but its bad fuel economy is such a meme, ha-ha. Rarely do I see a video of the R1 where it doesn't begin at a gas station!

The auto blip on the R1 is fine just smash it it down as the slipper clutch takes care of it don't baby it it's a race bike. The throttle is FBW so they lag a tad but in Mode 2 it's OK or put a jetprime throttle on it and it is a different machine. My 2 hates are the TFT is to small and sits to flat it needs a hinge system like the Triumph 765 ST and lastly the throttle side mirror vibrates like the R7 does. 😊 I have the R1M a little more refined but still has issues that need to be addressed

I have not one complaint about my 23 r1. Your bike looks stock, mine is far from stock though. My q/s and auto blipper is butter smooth not sure why yours feels this way ( hopefully your not d/s on the throttle). My girl hates the backseat as well. You need to tune the suspension it helps with a passenger, also EBM - 3. Your throttle response problem are the factory restrictions. BAUCE racing for a tune 👍

With the downshifts just rev match. Ok i hear ya 👍 i love rev matching & have never used a auto blip. With the backpack it's crazy in my mind they can see the tach & speedometer. I can remember being young & on the back of one. You need a tune bro! That computer holds your bike back A LOT, it's drive by wire, meaning computer controls the throttle, not really you. At 100% throttle the computer controls how fast the throttle plates, butterfly valves open in the throttle bodies. My 03 has none & is faster ET than a stock new R1, without a tune. Be safe bro.

If you have mo fuel guage. Just check miles you ridden. My bike has guage but i fill up around every 150ish miles
@amaximus57538 ай бұрын
Hey, legitimate complaints. However, these R1's are heavily restricted from factory. One of the most restricted bikes out of factory actually. An exhaust and an ecu flash will definitely sort out any throttle issues. The back seat issue, well, the only answer to that is, get a harley Davidson if you want a comfy passenger. I agree with the no fuel gage issue. Seriously yamaha. I believe this is the 5th gen R1 now and still no fuel gage. My 2014 Ktm superduke had a fuel gage, and im pretty sure some of the other superbike brands have a fuel gage too. Have you tried using the trip gage?
