Currently driving a V6 Charger but I will be upgrading to the 5.7 Charger Daytona later this year. Out of the three V8 hemi engines the 5.7 is the most reliable and takes to mods really well.

Very true, they’re really good cars. I have over 350,000 miles on my V6 right now and it’s still running great. That’s one of the main reasons why I want the 5.7 because not only does it have a good amount of HP but it’s a great daily also.

Just bought my 2nd new Charger last week. My first one was a 2014 with the cheap plastic interior, lower end seating, and RWD. So this time bought an AWD and the plus package. Both make a world of difference, and the interior, traction and seats are very much improved. I got the GT package, only because you could not get the plus package on the SXT. The first one was black and every time we drove it, it was dirty. So this time bought green. We just sold our Magnum with the hemi. The 6 cyl is just fine for me (I don't drive in the triple digits) and I am going to guess my fuel economy will improve by about 6mpg.

That’s kinda what I’m leaning towards right now a charger gt. Only because I’ve had previous v8’s are I knowwww how much gas they gurgle. I’d love the whole charger look but I don’t wanna be at the gas station that much so I feel like a gt for me is financially better for me but also gives me the satisfaction of owning and looking at a charger

@@Debodan Also you are looking at Premium gas in the V8, regular in the V6. Insurance is also lower with the V6.

Where I live, people " show off" in anything that has wheels. It seems like it makes more sense to do so in a " Fire Breathing" Charger than in a base level Chevy Spark.

Mid grade, you can run regularly though but gas quality fluctuate throughout the year so I run mid grade. Congrats!

Love the rt! Chargers are something else .. i am in canada and i want to buy a charger but idk confused between the gt and rt … the gas prices here are like 2$ per L … how much difference is it between a rt and gt in terms of gas mileage

V8 is 100% worth it. Probably negligible difference. Maybe 3-4 mpg on average?

I have a 15’ RT. It’s not going to be setting any lap records obviously but does anybody expect it to? Personally I look at it as a fairly inexpensive way to haul my family around and have that melodic V8 rumble, not race Camaros and mustangs.

Your braking issue wouldn’t be improved that much if you had the brembos. A stickier tire and more aggressive pads is what you need for better braking. The bigger brakes just dissipates heat allowing your brakes to nor over heat and function longer
