5 Things I HATE About My Fiesta ST (ST150 MK6)

Here are 5 things that I hate from living with my Fiesta ST150, I have covered 18,000 miles in this car in just over a year so I know the car pretty well..If you own a ST150 let me know what annoys you most about the car.

No.6 that monster truck suspension you’ve got installed!😂 they sorted the boot open button out on the facelift models so it can open with the engine on but otherwise they’re damn good cars for the money. Much prefer the 2.0 n/a in the mk6 over the 1.6 turbo in the mk7 even if it’s a bit less tuneable

Looks like a Range Rover right 😂 I’ve had lowering springs put on it since filming this video, the MK7 doesn’t do anything for me. The engine in this is brilliant, wish it had a 6th gear but apart from that I love it! I’ll never sell it 😎

I own a 1.4 and only thing that really bothers me, is the slow af acceleration. So the ST should be the perfect daily for me then. Enjoyed the video :)

You should be able to solve the tailgate not opening when ignition ON with ForScan, theres an option in GEM module configuration called "Tailgate release avaliable when igntion on" just a tip.

The boot button issue you're having is a pre-facelift thing. I own a facelift tdci and the boot button works with the engine running.

yeah same here, giot a FL too and i can open it...it won´t open when the car is moving but thats good xD ( yes i pressed it while driving becouse i had to know xD )

Thank you! My exhaust is custom from the cat back, it’s the loudest car I’ve owned and surprisingly still had the car in. Although my cat is blowing now so I’m planning to change it for something aftermarket. :)

Hey, Some of the plastics are screwed in like the fog light surrounds but most of it just unclips. The front main grill comes straight out towards you and the top grill you need to open the bonnet and your see at each end they are clipped in. And for the rear reflectors you can go under the car and look behind them and see the clips to take those out. And I can’t remember who done the steering wheel now but the Alcantara is starting to go all funny so I need to get it redone. I’ll probably go for all leather next time 😜

@@deanohughes9818 They are custom made, They are very hard to find and quite expensive, I bought another ST150 with it on and i took all the parts from that car, sold the parts and kept the wing then sold the car..so basically.I bought a whole car for the spoiler 😂 Best place to look is FB market place mate.

I have a facelift st150 and boot opens all the time, maybe you can change it to the newer system if there's a difference?

There is quite a couple of differences on the facelift, you can see your fuel range on the dash can’t you? Wish I had that 😂

Great vid, actually very nicely done :) I can agree on the fuel consumption, stock engine, 23l/100km (~12MPG) in competition conditions, generally about 8l/100km (~35MPG) on a good day, just driven sensibly :)

Thank you! I’ve done a couple of economy runs and I’ve got no where near 35MPG so your lucky, I have worked it out and I think the best I’ve got is around 25MPG aha 🤣

@@Jakes_Cars Well I'm in country Australia, so it's mostly open 100kmh roads I get that on, so that may help :) I should do a proper average, over a few tanks, of mixed use. I bet that would end up higher. But there may be differences between you mk6 (I think?) and my mk6.5 aside from your mods 😀

200mils? wtf...how small is your tank on that one? i have the mk6 1.4l and with a full tank i get easy over 400mils...but that is i assume more your problem on how you drive it

Very tidy fezzer mate they’re good cars to make it look sweet would be drop it and get a front splitter and rear spats then the car would be spot on 👌

You can’t really buy them, if you search on things like eBay and Facebook you’re have to wait until one pops up as they are very rare 👍

Fully custom exhaust, one of a kind. And I can’t remember which brand of air intake but it’s as big as it can’t be 😂

The way I drive doesn’t help 😂 If I really really try I can get clowns to 300. When I drove town to Cornwall last year in pretty much a straight line I just managed to get 300 haha

They are very hard to find, not many around. They are all custom made so the best places to look is on Facebook market place and eBay 👍

Pre facelifts don’t read MPG on the dash, My driving style will not achieve 30mpg 🤪 smiles per miles 😏

Smiles per miles, I agree. Love my little St150. The only two things I have about mine are how crap the main beam is. The other is that it could do with a 6th gear. Great video, keep em coming

The headlights a poor tbh..I’m gonna play around with them at some point and the car definitely needs a 6th gear..especially with mine due to it being very loud it would be nice to drop the revs a bit more on the motor way to make it a bit less quite but other than that.. The only big thing I especially don’t like about my st150 is the fact that the low beam goes off while I turn on the high beams. Is it the same for you guys?

Something definitely wrong if your getting under 250 let alone 200 miles. On average I get 300 and that's with a good balance of mixed driving, full exhaust, filter and DS map, also always use V power not that new government grade garbage. Ps. Get that thing lowered asap! 😂

Sounds fucked if your only getting 200 per tank. I use to average 27-30mpg. I got 5mpg on a track day but yeah you need to lower it too, looks higher than standard.

I’ve done 27,000 miles in mine and I would say I’d wish it had a 6th gear. But mine is really loud and stripped out so it’s very loud 70MPH on the highway. But honestly if it’s not loud then you have nothing to worry about. 👍🏻
