After having a 2008 F-150, a 2013 F-150, and a 2019 f150, I am so glad I got rid of those piles of junk and got my new 2023 Titan pro 4x. The old school simplicity is the reason I went with the Titan. No cylinder deactivation, no turbos, no auto start stop, just a solid drivetrain. I know my Titan is new, but something tells me it will last a lot longer than those f-150s did for me. The 2008 F-150 had extremely uncomfortable seats and a steering rack that would click every time I would turn left. It also had cam phaser problems. The 2013 F-150 had a turbo go out at 110,000 mi (And I am religious about maintenance) and an exhaust manifold leak, and I had to replace all three window regulators within the first 100,000 miles. My 2019 F-150 had a massive cam phaser recalled and it sat in the shop for a month while they rebuilt the cam phasers, it's still rattled on startup every time, the transmission had a loud wine to it, and it would slam into reverse every time I put it into reverse, not to mention the goofy shifts on the 10 speed transmission occasionally. Americans no longer know how to design trucks well for durability and longevity. The Toyota tundra unfortunately is following in the footsteps of the F-150. So the Nissan Titan is currently the best choice if you want a simple truck that lasts a long time.

None of your complaints matter to the average truck owner who does truck things! Having a column shifter is a good thing for many people as it opens up the floor and console space. Plus less bull crap to go wrong.

I got my fully load pro4x which has everything that's in the platinum reserve except the brown seating for 60K! Amazing deal!

Come on Ben! My 2021 pro 4 xd has a 1980 lb pay load. You take any 1/2 ton, tow a 8000 lb travel trailer behind it, and compare it to the xd. The xd is in total control. No comparison.

Haha the Totan is just no match compared to real pick up trucks. This one is a wannabe truck who’s desperately trying to compete but just cant keep up. Nothing is positive comparable or better than the domestic ones.

With all due respect, Ben, you CANNOT buy a 4 door 4 wheel drive pickup that is rated to tow as much as the Titan XD or even the regular Titan. The big three love to throw those big numbers out when it comes to towing and payload. What they fail to mention is that those big numbers are only for a stripped down 2 door, 2 wheel drive truck.

Most of the big three in the most popular configuration (4 wheel drive 4 door) are rated to tow around 8000 lbs. The regular Titan is rated at 9200

None of these "hate items" bother me. I love this truck. I just wish the gas tank was a larger. Other than that, awesome truck. I went with the SV 4x4 model.

I’d say the 5.6 is perfect for every buyer. 400 HP and over 400 lb ft of torque is leaps ahead from trucks 20 years ago and those trucks are still putting in work today. So this truck is fine and will do everything you need. Also on the terms of the f150 says it can tow more than this truck, just cause it says it can, don’t mean you should. This truck probably has its set max lower than what it actually can do. Because it’s frame is huge I am sure it can probably tow towards 14k but if you set the max lower you have more confidence in towing the set max. What I’m saying is is ford might say an f150 can tow 12k but towing 11k on a f150 is a nightmare. Towing 11k on this truck would be night and day difference. Chevy ford and ram put their maxes high for marketing. I wouldn’t tow 11k pounds with an f150, 1500 ram or Silverado. I would with this.

I always enjoy your videos. The small gas tank (26 gal) is the only thing keeping me from buying a Titan. My Tundra holds 38 and my f150 holds 36.

Quit thinking about those pickups. Just buy domestic, there is actually no and i mean, no reasons to buy a Titan or a Tundra unless your just a sucker for the brand which is pathetic.

You are absolutely right everything you said is exact truth that's probably the biggest reason why I haven't purchased a new Titan truck I have a 2009 Le crew cab long bed fully loaded they didn't make that many of those trucks and I love that truck but the new Titan do you know if they have any plans on updating it for next year I would like to know cannot find any information on it they need to extend the bed on the XD better suspension more power and put a console shifter in a larger gas tank preferably the same size tank I have on my truck.

Too bad they didn’t make the 5.0 Cummins more competitive price wise. It was priced up there with the heavy duty pickups of Ram, GM, and Ford. I like the Nissan and almost bought an XD with the Cummins. Still may get used one as they deprecate faster then others. The 5.0 Cummins was a decent power and lots of potential.

Able to tow with confidence. Lack of gimmicks. Built to do truck $hit. 100,000 mile warranty!!!! I have to ask what you’re using your truck for. Most of the people who don’t like this truck really enjoy having a pavement princess in the driveway. I love my XD cause I do Truck $hit!!!!

As an owner of a 2021 Titan Pro4x, I love my truck. Absolutely the most underrated truck on the market. Changes... Wish Nissan would add a hydrid/gas set up to ease the mpgs other then that love the truck Rams..Ford's..Chevys are made like crap, sorry. I'm hearing Titans are going bye bye ..shame if that happens

Looks like you’re talking crap. Ive been in all 3 domestics and they feel like luxury vehicles compared to this poc. Im currently working on a 2017 Titan and under it, it looks like its at least 12 to 15 years old. All kinds of bolts breaking and crossmembers jammed there even if i hit with the sledgehammer. Rust all over the frame. The interior is a joke and looks like a toy compared to the others

It's not 3 domestics. I'm wonder when you people will acknowledge the Ram is a foreign truck owned by a foreign company. Their heavy duties are made in Mexico which is garbage. Chevy makes most of their Silverados in Mexico..garbage. As for Ford F150....complete crap. Want to talk about cheap plastic and do you really want to get into their endless recalls for crap quality. At the moment I also own a 2017 F150 XLT FX4 off road...the interior is junk. My Titan is a truck that works flawlessly and can actually tow extremely well but ya it doesn't have the fake tow numbers that the others "say they have" lol. I under stand people want to think their buying American but in reality the Titan has just as much or more American made parts content the those other trucks and ya those companies have sold out American workers every chance they get also I believe the most American made content vehicles are Honda SUVs and Ridgeline if I recall. I go more by who makes my truck then who owned the company. Take care.

I have an 05 Titan. This is definitely a superb upgrade. Recently, purchased a 2020 Silverado 1500 Z71 Texas Edition (I still drive my Titan more until I sell the silverado and by another Titan). The control panels are not as nice as this platinum reserve and the driving performance weaker than the Titan. Yes, you're right that most of these things you pointed out are minor. Performance wise, good to see Nissan take the same engine and tune it for about 100 more hp and a little bit more torque. Upgrade the transmission. Then put it on a bigger body and sell it for less than "American" made trucks with an unbelievable warranty.

Does it depreciate quicker? Maybe Nissan will use a diesel engine from their UD Box Truck division.

They discontinued their diesels. Titan is done after 2024 supposedly

I'm actually okay with the powertrain. I wish it had just a little more hp and torque, maybe something closer to the 6.4 hemi would be a bit more appealing however the 5.6 is tried and true. I also wish they would update the styling and get rid of the God awful v8 badging on the front quarter panel. If Nissan would do those things, I would take a very hard look at the HD for my next truck.

The only complaint owners have on this truck is the small fuel tank. Every single one of them love this truck and speak nothing but good about it. Ben Hardy wouldn't know a real truck that works if it bit him in the ass! None of the things he mentions matter real truck guys!

Those are definitely not HD capabilities. I have a 2022 Ram 1500 quad cab, 2wd and it has a 1755 load and a 11,855 tow. I realize it is a lighter configuration, but still!

I can tell you 1st hand towing is night and day. I just traded my 2wd Ram on an XD. Travel trailer I bought felt like I was floating with the Ram and didn’t feel safe at all. XD tows like it’s not even there. I loved my Ram but it didn’t feel safe at all.

Apparently you haven't had a new Ford, with 43 recalls and 30 other things you got to take it in for that break. I just trade in a 21 f250 for a xd
