I own 2022 1500 LT.... transmission shutter since day one (fluid replaced with new one,re learn and new filter installed).What Ive learned between the visits to dealerships and my own experimenting,is that the shutter happens on the 8 speeds between 980 & 1100 Rpms.When the stupid DFM activates the 4 cylinder mode and transmission is chasing the gears because the TC is not locked everything goes haywire. My personal solution without buying expensive DFM disablers is to keep the truck in the L7 manual mode in the city (disables the DFM) and on the highway before I hit 55 mph I shift to D and keep the truck in the cozy 1350 Rpm around 70/75Mph.Gas consumption is +/- half a gallon difference. By doing this I keep the stupid DFM,start/stop off and my lifters are all engaged all the time with fresh oil which is important for them not to get stuck and also grenade my engine.Also no more stupid shuttering/vibrations and expensive gimmicks.

You have good points about Chevy pickup trucks. It appears I have a totally different 2024 Chevy Silverado than you have with the 6.2L but they both function the same. I took delivery of the 2024 Chevy Silverado RST first edition EV. To start with the seat comfort is very good in the RST, having very thick seats and backs (in front, not so much in rear with mid-gate option) with lots of cushion for long drives (I do not get seat fatigue). Chevy seems to have fixed that issue. The super cruise does have that abrupt cut off on some occasions, but is more dramatic in the RST EV due to one pedal driving being defaulted after the super cruise shuts down. The brake check is less apparent to drivers behind you with the 6.2L. In any case that is an issue. Chevy does not use chrome trim in any RST (LT yes) trim accents, but the piano gloss black that is used has the same effect with glare, besides the Chevy EV cabs are raked forward more for the slipstream effect and the glare is apparent no matter your seat height setting. The heads up display does not have options to flip though as the 6.2L does. However, the DIC and the infotainment displays have extreme flexibility to what is put on the display due to the nature of an EV. The transmission is where the most differences are between the two Chevy trucks. Instant torque through the entire accelerator pedal range is what you get with the RST. That is the number one reason why I chose the RST over the 6.2L. The RST empty curb weight is 9000lb and I can pull zero to sixty in 4 seconds flat with no tire spin. The RST is devastatingly fast. The entire drive-train is whisper quiet. With the RST purchase I am totally saddled with subscription base applications that absolutely cannot be turned off or the truck does not function. I totally agree with you on this gripe. Enjoy your truck, I absolutely am enjoying my truck. The 2024 Chevy truck lineup is a total winner.

When I started looking for a new truck I checked them all. I liked the Ram, but the Ford, no (I’ll never own a vehicle made out of old beer cans) and quickly chose Chevy (the higher cost for GMC isn’t worth it). I tested the High Country and a loaded LTZ, liked the LTZ much more and bought it. My wife and I both found the LTZ seats were far more comfortable than the HC, which surprised me. I agree the super cruise is a pain, so I use the basic mode. I don’t like the garbage they put in new vehicles that try to control it, like the super cruise and lane guidance. If I can’t control the truck I shouldn’t be driving it. For the compass, I set it in the center of the dash display, not the heads up. I haven’t found a issue with shifting, but I absolutely agree that Onstar is a absolute rip off. GM should be embarrassed that they charge anything for that garbage. As for Google maps, pair the truck to your phones Bluetooth and it works perfectly without messing around setting up a hotspot.

What I don’t like about my 2024. No cigarette lighter power receptacle. The wireless charger sucks because you need a spacer that prevents inserting your phone all the way in the cradle. Otherwise, it does not recognize the phone. The 2024 does not have door lock buttons on the rear doors like my 2020 had. They wear a nice convenance. The trim on the dash blinds you in the sun on the 2024. The 2024 does not have HD radio. The 2024 require a subscription to an OnStar data plan to use google or other apps. That mean I have to use Apple Car Play to get cast Google Maps from my phone. I appreciate the idea to use my phone as a hot spot and that might be cheaper than an OnStar subscription. I have a 2023 high country duramax silverado, and just with little more than a year of light use, it is at the dealer more than a month waiting for the hvac coolant flow control valve, and it is useless. No one can tell when the part is going to be available. It is a shame that such a pricey vehicle has no spare parts to get it back in the road.

Man, I feel for you on that. Couldn't imagine having the vehicle just sitting. I do appreciate you watching and commenting, stay tuned for more!!

I would not like the MPG on 6.2L. I got rid of my 6.2 for 3.0 LZO DuraMax and get 35% better fuel milage and pay less for diesel than 93 octane recommended for 6.2
@GeoRides1144 ай бұрын
Makes sense, I started looking at the diesel but decided not to for a couple different reasons. I've never had a diesel and didn't want to necessarily deal with the DEF also. I guess deterred by the unknown. Like any mechanical item, I've heard there is a lot to deal with when it comes to diesel engines and ensuring they are driven regularly and at a specific mph. My truck may sit for some time (because of the motorcycle) so I didn't want to deal with that aspect. I appreciate you watching and commenting, ultimately when people buy what works best for them it's all good especially if the manufacturer offers a number of options.

Does the 6.2 require premium gas?…
@GeoRides1145 ай бұрын
@@minusx31 the manual calls for premium gas which I don’t mind using. I know some people don’t use premium but I’m not willing to do that. Not worth it. Thanks for watching, commenting and stay tuned!

Agree on the expensive upgrade to 13.4” navigation then need to buy a plan. Even with sharing hotspot it doesn’t integrate well with Apple Play. The GM Google based system on the info system seems to interfere with iPhone usage but appears to allow android to work. GM bait and Screw Customer for $39/mo to work satisfactorily. And if you use your phone hotspot you have to go through the menu to enable it. Come on Gzm as a loyal GM new vehicle customer for over 40 years and you do thud to me! You should retroactively give all those who bought this at least a 10 year subscription for free!! Or maybe the vehicle won’t even last 10 years. My last Chevy vehicle I’ll ever buy unless they fix this. My 2017 Silverado worked better without the need for special plan!!!
