Had a '07 MKZ and loved it. Always loved the looks and design of the dash. I eventually traded it for a '15 MKZ, which I loved just as much.

Picked up my Zephyr over a year ago. I went through it and replaced nearly all the suspension parts and a full time up. It started to have the typical second gear harsh flair shift, but I drained and fill the trans fluid three times and it feels great now.

I got a near perfect 2009 for $4,500. The only less than perfect things about it were a minor crack in the right side front bumper and around a 6" scuff on the leather of the upper section of the driver's seat. It had one owner and all scheduled maintenance paperwork was in the glovebox. It just had a brand new engine put in right before I bought it. It drives like it just came off the assembly line.

I see a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr with 150,000 miles for $2800 but leather have tears and dashboard crack outside looking good or should I get the 2010 Ford Focus very clean Interior $2500 with 198,00 miles on it all two vehicles in good working order

I had an 08 mkz awd but the ptu and multiple driveshaft issues were a pain. The 3.5 in my 08 has the dreaded internal water pump and when those leak it's about a 2k repair. I am now looking at a zephyr. 3.0 no internal water pump and I am losing awd but it's a heavy car so winter tires should be fine. Btw, the ride quality was fantastic.

I bought the zephyr specifically because I didn't want the internal water pump (which is the dumbest thing Ford's ever done besides the problems with the Triton 3v engines)

​@Spencer Poulos months ago I replaced the water pump on my 3.5 dodge magnum and that was a hassle. I'm about to trade it for a zephyr like this and this video was really helpful on helping me make up my mind.!!!

@@delamain611 so fun fact I just got rid of the zephyr - engine blew at 97k miles on the interstate and lost all oil and grenaded the motor. Not sure how it happened. Also had hard starting issues when it was cold and wouldn't start all the time, just crank. Dealer couldn't figure it out. So shop quoted me $8k to put a new engine in. Couldn't find anything on the internet about this issue, and I took care of it and checked the oil regularly. The oil pressure system failed, causing the engine to jump a tooth and only ran on 3 out of 6 cylinders. So that's a consideration.

@@spoulos123 Sorry that happened. The 3.0 ltr is usually rock solid, 10s of thousands were produced for Fusions, Escapes & other models with very few reports of early failures. Even the 3.5 with the internal water pump is not as bad as many might think. Two things to do if you have a 3.5. 1) Completely replace your coolant every 30k miles or 2 years as clean coolant helps to properly lube the WP bearings & make it last. 2) There is a weep hole for the WP right above the alternator. Open your hood & check for seepage from the hole once or twice a week. If you see coolant seeping, get the pump replaced before it grenades the engine. Again, the 3.5 ltr is a very good engine & there were 10s of thousands produced for the F-150, Taurus, Edge, Flex & other models. Early failure way lower than you might think. Way better than GM motors with bad timing chains.

Not really, been reliable for me so far, but the transmission is known to slip and shift rough into gear (I've had the shifting problem) but it's nothing major yet

Mine so far seems to be shifting smooth and have a dealer warranty still so hope that helps if it does start acting up

Bought a 2006 with only 11934 miles( yes 11934 that's not a typo) for $3000 in excellent condition. Bought it for my son as his first car. Merlot exterior and tan interior. I dont think anyone ever sat in the backseat. Bought from a friend's neighbor. Old lady who never drove it. My son loves it and so do I. Car drives like it just came off the lot new.

Is the car expensive to insure? I use to drive a 2011 Ford Fusion SE and I'm curious how much insurance would be compared to that? I'm assuming more but I'm wondering how much more it might be.

$50-60 per month with no collision if you have a clean license and driving record.

@@LightWingStudios omg in Canada we pay 300 to 500 a month for insurance man we get ripped off so much here with companies and goverment sit and watch and collect taxes I wish I was in USA and I got into accident 5 years ago or 6 years ago almost and didn’t get paid yet and I almost died and injuried in that accident so there you go
