Your video rang a definite bell with me this morning Emma! I'm currently dog-sitting in the Highlands of Scotland for my DD and the rain has been biblical the last few days. I definitely feel that I'm experiencing autumn already. This morning I have on my snuggly sweatshirt and bottoms and trainers whilst drinking my hot coffee and watching your vlog! Hi Emma. We’re still in summer heat here in Greece- about 33/34 degrees today! It sounds crazy but we really need some rain especially after another summer of tragic wildfires. Anyway, I bought a trench coat a couple of years ago - I particularly wanted a long length and flowing fabric and having found the perfect one in beige/camel,it is an absolute staple in my wardrobe. As always, I love your style and so admire your choices.❤️🥰

It is still nice out in Cali but I am here for inspiration to clean out my closet and figure out what to store away and pull out once the weather changes. I also almost ordered a bunch of ugg boots, trainers, scarves, hats and gloves. So I am trying to distract myself from the amazing comfy sale out there and focus on what will actually make me look classy which is basically following your recipe! ❤❤❤

I too worked for a well known handbag brand who also had footwear and apparel. We were also STRONGLY “encouraged” to wear heels. 8+ hours if you could handle it. I opted for a lot of wedges to help my poor feet. So crazy!

I don't have the same style as you do, though I do enjoy a lot of neutrals over colors, but I love these videos because I can see more silhouettes or different fabrics that I might not have normally gone for, and then find pieces that might fit my style more. For example, I recently got a pair of black trousers, and while, they're a little bit too wide leg for me to wear on an every day basis, they're perfect to wear out to a party or something (they give a more flowy feminine look vs a casual look basically). I love the idea of wearing something other than jeans finally! Definitely going to be looking into adding even more trouser styles to my wardrobe.

This is also my go-to outfit so I am delighted to find this video! And I also used to wear a lot of heels and random trainers but now I generally just wear white trainers, wide slouchy navy or black trousers (M&S actually do a really nice pair at the moment) and a soft but well made jumper. The White Company is probably my go-to shop of choice but I'm heading off to check out your recommendations as well.

Wow I have to say you look stunning in heels, well you look great in anything. My feet hate all shoes, probably cos I crushed them into too tight shoes when I was young as I hated my size 7 feet when I was at school! So the only footwear I wear now are flat sandals, boots with a small heel at most and trainers. Hope you're feeling good now x

Hi Emma, To plant a seed: there are shoes that are even better than trainers. Barefoot minimalist shoes. They are wide so the toes can splay. They don’t have any elevation in the heel so the foot is flat as the body intended to be so the rest of the joints do not have to compensate. But…. They are visually something to get used to due to the wide toe box IMO. Wanted to put it out there. … yea… it’s like nutrition or religion… 😬

I’ve had 3 different trench coats in the last few years, can’t seem to find one that doesn’t make me look like an umpa lumpa, perhaps I’m buying the wrong fit. I’m only 5’2” so have to be careful about the style perhaps I’ll look at jigsaw for a less fitted one.
