Yeah if you’re worried about a 600cc or bigger I couldn’t recommend the CBR500R more!
@AndrewHartsock3 жыл бұрын
It’s incredibly important to learn how to ride the correct way. For instance, you’re using mostly rear break but your front brake should be used a majority of the time as it makes up roughly 70% of your stopping power. Using both in conjunction with each other is crucial. Learning on your own is fine but I highly recommend watching some KZbin videos about how to ride if you’re not going to take a safety class.

@@AndrewHartsock Yeah, I finally bought this bike (2017 model). The bike feels great especially for the riding position. My main reason is I want to develop my skills first before jump into supersport bike. Piece of advice. Don't bother "upgrading" the exhaust. It won't change the power output and it can actually shorten the life of the engine due to changing the air/fuel mixture. If more power is what you want, then buy a more powerful bike. Buying an exhaust has to be the single dumbest thing that noobs do to their bikes.
@itiddles44192 жыл бұрын

I knew at the time it was slow but with the money I wanted to spend it was either a brand new 250 or an older 600. Rode it on and off but sold it a few years back. Last year I got a 1980 Yamaha XJ650 which I ride daily. It's that perfect balance of not insanely slow but not too crazy that I will kill myself. That's the reason I am interested in the 500r. As much fun as I'd have with a faster bike on highways I know myself and I wouldn't be able to hold back and would eventually get myself killed.
