I’ve been grieving the loss of my Doberman Venus who I lost a few weeks ago. She had epilepsy and her seizures are how I found out I had breast cancer last year. She is my angel. My minimalism journey started 9 years ago but now that she has passed I’ve downsized more than ever before and I’m planning to start a new chapter and move to Japan, so lately I say if I can’t take this to another country it’s time to let it go. I had a lot of books also. Mostly self help and minimalism books, even a signed one by Joshua Becker and the only one I kept is how to live when a loved one dies by thich naht hanh.

I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved Venus. She sounds like your guardian angel for sure. I’m sure you were the same for her ❤️ You must be so excited about Japan. It’s the one of the few places that I’d like to go to. The book you kept sounds like everything you need. Thank you so much for this beautiful comment. Our hearts are with you during your loss, change and new adventure 🌷

Your videos are so calm and simple, love them! 100% with you when you said: if I don’t need something, I don’t buy it……..this really stayed with me. Looking forward to your next one! 😃

there's something beautiful about patching up old but perfectly loved items kept around that made the final cut. Thanks for another insightful and calming video

I think of "interim" items as "placeholders". I used to have a tendency to do that with furniture, trying to fill a space after a move, before the purchase of the "perfect" item. And then I realized there is no perfect. I move so frequently, and each space is so different, I've found that the longest-lasting pieces I own are the simplest and most versatile that have traveled with me thru several chapters of life. They are capable of serving many purposes, and their design, texture and color have easily fit in many different styles and served a variety of purposes, with the right accents being the declaratory style statement. I've come to enjoy the "breathing room" my decor provides. I have since learned to think of my wardrobe and my kitchen tools the same way. I have a core set or each that serves 99% of my needs. I may throw some money at that rare 1%, but it's usually a short-term expense rather than an acquisition that requires curation.

Really relate to books and clothing…… have given the majority to charity shops now…… i resonate with using things until their worn out, don’t work not useful anymore…… some can be recycled which is great! Blessings 🌞🌻🧿🪬🕉️☯️🧘🏼♂️🙏🏽

I use a public library, don't need an e-reader. 🤷♀

That’s awesome. I love the library too. I use the overdrive Libby app on my kobo to access library books.

Your small purse seems super practical and minimal. I know this is quite an annoying question around the internet but what brand is it? I only have one bag I would like to upgrade to fit my needs better :)

What type of e-reader do you have? Thank you for your response. Love your content and videos.

I started e-reading with a Kobo Clara and liked it but when I got my Supernote I side loaded the kobo app onto that and gave the Kobo to my husband.
