I think it’s about time Iceland wins. Else I would like an EDM song to win, preferably by a universally known dj..

Agree with all of these! Måns has milked it far too much. At the end of the day, he's only one of 70 winners and he's hardly iconic like ABBA and other Eurovision winners. If he has to appear in some capacity there's no reason not to include Carola and Charlotte Perrelli, which would actually be appropriate given Sweden have now equalled Ireland's record of wins. As I may have said before, it made sense for him to host in 2016 as the reigning winner and while I found him a bit smug, Petra's sass was the perfect counterweight and they did have brilliant chemistry. I'd love to see a first time winner too, or one that hasn't won for a while. Greece could be one to watch - my sister saw Marina Satti at Womad and said she'd be a great entry. Greece had a great run of results in the 2000s so let's see if they can have a resurgence! I think Cyprus, Switzerland and Iceland could be contenders too. Norway seems to struggle with the juries so I don't think they'll win again soon unless they can address that weakness. Of course, I'd love to see a UK victory at some point but for now I'd prefer us to build up a better streak of results and experiment with different styles.

The reason why Norway struggles with the Eurovision juries is because until 2022 they did not involve juries in their national selection process. 2023 might have been an exception, but I am confident that Norway will send jury-friendly acts more often from now on.

@@dimidrugg9592 that's interesting...I believe the vocals in Alessandra's jury performance were a bit off which would explain why she got a poor jury score. Obviously she was fine in the end as she did so well in the televote but had she scored higher we could have had three neighbouring countries in the top three!

How about a new slogan?
@alvdansen7172
@alvdansen7172 8 ай бұрын
The slogan is perfect, that is why it will stay the same, to make up for it I hope the logo and theme will be different every year at least, with the same slogan there will be more room to be creative with other stuff that gives the audience a bigger impact. I'm not sad about the slogan since most years I never remember it when it's always different but at the same time always been trying to say the same with different words, they all mean the same thing. Not very good for marketing ESC.

@@alvdansen7172 The slogan was perfect for ESC2023 hosted by the UNITED Kingdom, who have UNITED their forces with Ukraine to make ESC 2023 happen. Even if every slogan has a meaning around unity, inclusivity and the beauty of music, when you look behind the primary meaning, you will always find something specific to the host country. It's not a coincidence that Lisbon (a big port) had "All aboard", while Vienna (with no sea, but the Danube in the middle) had "Building bridges". It can be good marketing for ESC, you just need to choose a slogan that reflects the host. Sweden, you can do it! (And please don't hollow out the brilliant slogan of UK+UA, by removing the hidden context, and keeping only the primary meaning forever).

Thanks for the Vid ESC Hayden. 🙂 Yeah the BBC did a great job in raising awareness on all levels regarding the Eurovision last year, job well done ! This year I would like diversity regarding the song choice, it's about time we (the UK) have a song with lyrics which is not in English, I might be showing slight bias here, but a song in Cymraeg (Welsh) would be greatly appreciated, as the UK does not always equal the English language, ❤English, but we've got even more to offer as a country !!!!
@dimidrugg9592

Your country hasn't sent at least one song without English lyrics for more than 60 years it's been participating in Eurovision. You are very optimistic to hope for that to change in 2024.
