Honestly, the fact that this game has a battle system means it won't stay casual for very long. It's awesome that you can just collect cards for free and that they'll even be adding trading down the line. This is gonna be the only real way I ever interact with TCG again.

I dont think re rolling is a high priority, there are not that many cards available and the game seems to feed you certain cards you need.

I know the game just released for a few days but the 1st thing they should do is add more rewards to the PVP matches. Adding 1 pack hourglass when losing and/or 2 pack hourglasses when winning would be cool cuz at least you're working for it. Maybe it's better to get pack hourglasses from winning instead cuz it gives pressure to players and they may get the tendency to spend money in order to win (or quit the game idk) But who knows? Maybe it's too generous and it could ruin the game's income

@@dyrroth9296 Indefinitely getting X packs per Y games played will tend to be too generous, but they could at least have more generous daily rewards that you unlock via play, or even some kind of season pass, on top of some kind of ranked mode that gives rewards for progressing up the ranks. That's how PTCGL and most card games work...

I'm currently LV. 13 and the exp cap is 450 before levelling up and i think it increases the exp cap by 20, so what I'm thinking is 50 EXP (15 EXP is currently what I'm getting) for winning (idk how much the level cap for the lower levels are but hear me out), and for every 5 levels passed (applys when you reach level 15, level 5 and 10 does NOT gain you extra EXP) you gain 50 more EXP because it's currently so tedious for me to level up and get basically 1 pack and 1 wonder stamina. Is that fair or nahh?

Just got to the end of the solo battles and it really does feel like the only way to continue having fun and opening packs is to reset your account. The second you hit that wall and realise that the game wants you to stop having fun unless you open up your wallet, I realised that the game just doesn't have the content to keep players interested after that. Same thing happened with PTCGO where you'll have to deal with the most annoying competitive meta ever where you either have to just do mirror matches for a chance to win or just log off for 1-2 months until the next set hopefully comes out with another competitive option or squashes the previous annoying deck.

After opening a pack, press and hold the cards and slightly slide to the right, you'll be able to see the edges of upcoming 4 diamond rares/FA's/EX's, helps to tell you to speed through the pack or prepare for pleasant surprise/getting a card you already have. Not game-breaking, but i did get a nice screenshot of a god pack this way in the vanilla game.

When it comes to spending money on phone games, my rule of thumb is to give yourself 30 days from when you stsrt playing. If I'm still enjoying it a month in, I might consider spending. Plus having played for that long you can better gauge what paid packs are worth for your account

I evolved my deck to be Charizard Ex and Moltres EX, with the rest trainer cards. 2 basics, 1 stage one evolution, 1 stage two evolution. The rest trainer cards. Winning Advance solo. Lots of luck leads to a quick win.

The flair system actually goes the other way around; the more rare the card the less copies you need to unlock the next flair. Having quantities of the flairs was a surprise but the process of "collecting" the flairs and applying them to various aspects of the game (binders, decks, etc) is incredibly fun. The generous allowance of shine dust makes the entire flair system seem approachable and incredibly affordable

I use a water deck with a few stage 1 pokemon that use little energy. I love opening with Psyduck to stop my opponent from using supporters and I like having Greninja on the bench to put pressure on with its ability.

Just for stats if you plan to reset your account, it takes 7min 30s to open 13 packs excluding the scripted packs. And if you got good things on them, you can get 18 more packs in 15 minutes, and then decide if you still want to reset. If you want to do it really fast when you open your packs you can just click on the button to use your 12 hourglasses and instantly relaunch the app instead of watching the pack animation. (Do this only if you really want to have an amazing start as it does take away the fun part of opening packs, but if you plan on doing hours and hours of reset you should do it). On top of that, to get the 18 packs in only 15 minutes you'll need to complete advanced missions, the fastest way to do them is to avoid doing the 3 fights, the lvl 6 and the 2 decoration effects. So you will need to have 3 friends to add and you will need a nintendo account. If you don't have one of these you can still do this but it will take slightly longer as you will have to do 3 fights or possibly more if you also need lvl 6.

I noticed when opening the packs if I take my time and do it just right the line will light up green as if I’m cutting it correctly and at the right speed. The game is fun when it comes to the basic opening packs completing your dex and showing off your cards through binders but as soon as it comes down to pvp thats where it falls and it falls hard. It leans heavily towards p2w with many of the Pokémons not being well balanced. It takes many many battles just to even find someone who semi has the same progression as you have and doesn't just spam multiple ex Pokémon, At that point its just luck of the draw you pull the more favourable Pokémons from your deck which for me it feels like luck is more on their side than mine but maybe thats just me.

Tip for rerolling, you can activate premium pass when doing rerolls and it'll allow you to roll 10 packs at once, probably with 30+ spare hourglass. And if you get nothing you want, you can clear save data and just do the process again. Important part is you need to click "Complete purchase" somewhere in premium pass to transfer your old premium free pass. DONT LINK YET IDK WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN :)

I kept trying to swipe on the actual card, and it didn't do anything (probably because the game wants to flip the card over). I only started a week ago and I was only able to finish my reroll today. Reason behind, I need a deck with one of each immersive card. Got an account where I got Mewtwo immersive from the first free pack right at the beginning. Then I proceeded to Pikachu's pack where I got him within the first 5 pull together with another Pikachu ex. Had to continue with Pikachu's pack to get more lightning pokemon for the Pika ex deck. Once I have many basic lightning, I proceeded to Charizard's. Just got him and now I am still continuing for Charizard's pack to get another Sabrina and Moltres.

I've been running 2 Weedle, kakuna, Beedrill. They all 1 cost at 20, 30, 70 damage with 60, 90, 120 HP. They also all have a 1 cost retreat so you can focus your energy on the final Venusaur. With 1 Caterpie with find a friend opener and 2 of the Venusaur ex line. With 2 potions 1 professor oak 2 Erika and 2 poke balls. It absolutely kills the ex wall with Articuno and Lapras and Mewtwo is easy. It's such a fast build if you can get the Caterpie out front within the first 3 rounds. Only problem is Beedrill line is a glass cannon. You gotta keep switching them in and out until both are up. Hope this helps because I don't think anyone else is playing with it. I was thinking of switching in a 1 1 1 exeggcutor and a 1 1 1 Venusaur ex but I don't got the exegg :). Just thought I'd drop this in here if y'all are bored of the same deck. Have fun y'all!

I hate Seaking in the water decks. That 80 power attack with 100 HP, a flip of a coin and most 2 stage pokemon get wiped pretty quick. Like I went Mewtwo and got Sandslash, well 80 HP is very common in that tier of power so its just a monster.

Just play a bunch of the solo ai games and you'll get it down. And you'll get currency to use in shops

@ thing is there’s has to be a strategy right? and what cards go together and how to play the cards . Just unlocked the ai beginner battles and they’re fun but i still feel like i don’t know what i’m doing . the Ai bots aren’t the same as the real players

I left the pokemon tcg because i got bored with battles mostly being a search for energy and if you weren't lucky enough, you just dont do anything that turn. Love that this game has a free energy pile that you draw from each turn. I wish the real TCG played like this. It speeds up battles and gives players the ability to do SOMETHING if they're bricked.

I love the energy system here, too. I just wish I could choose the percentage of the energy types that appear (ex: I want like 70% chance for psychic energy and 30% chance for fire energy, since I'm running more psychic types than fire types).

I was able to beat some players with Marowak just got lucky with the coin flips. I did give in tho and started using a Mewtwo deck just so I could complete the missions.

wish i knew about the flare. The game kept giving me full art emersive charizard. had 3. Coulda saved one for trade, but used it for a flare assuming both cards would get it . Only one does and you cant get the same flare on both which is super stupid IMO

Ive grown to hate mewtwo builds tbh. At first i was able to play casually, but now ive curated a specific deck to cripple and crush mewtwo mains with my Alakazam build. (Which isnt even at its highest potential yet. Still grinding for more packs lol)

Then theres me who has never chosen to reset a account on a game, i play with the cards im delt. But to be fair im play games for fun not to chase meta. Like with Magic i play a wolf deck cause i like wolves. Or in Yu gi oh i play a redeyes deck cause that was my favorite monster from the show growing up. Admittedly i do loose alot but i love facing opponents who’s personality shines through in their decks.

Flair sucks, it shows up in binders too. I want it to unlock the flair for that pokemon any copy as many times as i want
