Also along with tip 3 i think one thing that has helped me with flipping balisongs and even spinning pens is that, have loose fingers or be extremely calm as if u already know the trick. This helped me quite a lot perhaps it may help you as well!

I started learning to flip a few months ago. I had a cheap ComicCon balisong that was really difficult to work with. I am LOVING my Squid Industries Mako model - the shark is sooo cute! BTW I'm 63 years old so don't let anyone tell you you're too old to be messing with balisongs.

The sound of the Krake is sublime. My Squid Industries balisongs show meticulous precision manufacturing. I didn't really know what a butterfly was until getting a Krake. (Also love my Nautilus). Also, I found out about SI here on YT, searching how-to-flip videos. So, community indeed. Keep up the good work!

Because of your videos i started with balisong. From an 20 euro one and then one from amazon for 80 euro . I was mutch better with this one. I'm trained for 1 year and yesterday on my birthday my friends bought me one of yours. I live in Germany. It was the best gift I've ever got. One thing to keep in mind is that with many bushing balisongs, you don't need threadlock, so if you don't want to have to deal with threadlock (to be honest I'd recommend dealing with it a few times, just so you know how to use it) then you can get one with bushings, like the krake raken

I am using a cheap balisong but I have learned alot of tricks on it I have learned the behind the 8 ball whip rollover and helix because of your videos on showing how to do the tricks I am gonna buy a used balisong I have found a krake raken v2 and it is 120 I'm gonna buy it and I don't have that much money because I am still young but Christmas is coming up and when I get enough money I'm gonna buy it either way I just love flipping balisongs I love you squid industries keep up the great work :D
