For the “what if” clause I typically have something directing towards liability of damages of gear on set due to carelessness. That’s a big BIG factor during operation

From my experience I always have a BACK UP for the BACK UP. So I back up on hard drive, then have a second hard drive for back up and finally a third drive to back that up for very important engagements. It's equipment, anything can and will go wrong.

Even with the clause, I am always sooo afraid of the paid projects' footage! I always load it to my drive as soon as I get home and still keep raw files on my card until I finish the project :) Great tips anyway!

lol me too some people load it on 2 hard drives on set and they give one to their friend and u keep one and u go home separately in case u get attacked on your way home.

Trust me, your better off. Right now video production is a zero paying industry (but for a niche with agency work etc) bec everyone's cousin n niece is a video producer.

That's why when it comes to reviewing the video, I don't send it online, they come down to me. Or else, their wife gon be hating on the client for having some sexy models in the video touching him bringing about crazy hassle on my end to take them out lol... Secondly, no camera devices like smartphones allowed filming during revision time until the balance is paid. If you allow them, they'll take it up enjoy the video get bored then come back to hassle you to change something that's impossible lol all this i had to state in my contract i know its crazy bro.

Same question here. Have you figured it out yet? To me, It looks like the bigger one is the initial client relations contract and the second, smaller one is to be sent with each work order? I don't know. I've been looking for help on this.

A contract is good for anything as long as money there is exchange .. The question is what is a contract in itself? Contract a written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.

Shouldn't you keep the watermark for the final video? For instance, if you buy a BMW car would you be made if the logo wasn't on the car?

A logo and a watermark are two different things.

The question is what is the purpose of the watermarks? the client can run with your work and not pay the balance. But with watermarks, the video would be useless for the client .. i see watermarks as handcuffs lol u pay me, I take the cuffs off .. Logos are just for branding like apple logo on the iPhones . I bet you won't buy an iPhone that has know apple logo on it though.
