I actually prefer the Shinobi 2 for my Sony FX 30 - I found the wireless control from the Portkeys to be unreliable and time consuming to re-establish - the Shinobi 2 just worked (wired) right out of the box- including full touch focus control - a huge plus for us solo filmers!... Add in the EL Zone false colors and the Shinobi just was more functional and elegant (for a 5" monitor). The Shinobi2 also does not drain my D-Tap battery when off- the Portkeys did so I always had to disconnect from power in between locations...

I’ll be honest the dragon sensor is addicting, almost addicting enough to go dsmc2. But the newer gens have global shutter and if I’m thinking I’m going to do a lot more unreal engine/ led panel work this helps a ton, not to mention the price drop and some packages floating around used for sub 10k 🧐

FYI, Red uses 16-bit linear color, which is the same as 12-bit log. There's no perceptible difference to 12-bit. In fact, the Arri Alexa 35 had to go to 13-bit log because 12-bit log/16-bit linear can only encode 16 stops of dynamic range, but the Alexa 35 can do 17+

Hi, I just watched your video, when I saw one great thing. At 5:05 you are showing your Rodecaster Duo and I saw, you have som 90° connectors fpr the mics. I looked severel times for that connectors and always find them in the wrong direction. I also asked Rode and they can't give me a solution / suplier for that connectors. So I would be very happy to know the company and where to get them. That would be great - Thanks Marco

I just traded an high end AK47 for a 2023 MacBook Pro M3 Pro with 18gb ram and 512ssd. I have another KZbin channel and it works amazing. I came out ahead on the trade and the power of this machine is insane, all Apple silicon chips for that matter are nuts compared to the old intel ones. I use a FujiFilm XT4 and iPhone 14 Pro Max for most recording and the m3 pro chip is more than enough power for editing 4K 30-120 fps. To be honest, the iPhone is the number one used camera I have and nobody can tell the difference between that and the Fuji, unless it’s low light.

About to pull the trigger on this one with the B&H deal.... Still loving it?
