1) the mirror autofold only for the most expensive model i.e. a class higher than your Sport Trim. 2) Agree. Japanese cars are lagged behind for their electronic technology. Yet, it could be more durable who knows. 3) Outback is a big car and it is not fit for short city travel. I drive 50KM everyday mostly A3, can achieve 7.5L/100KM. But if i use Outback to pick up kids, it could be 12L. 4) Yes the user manual is big, just remove it. Last, I would like to point out one outstanding key feature of Outback will be its ACC and line keep centering which is very sharp and useful. A drove 3000KM in Feb and the system prove to be execellent. Finally, I agree with you that H6 equip with all features that driver needs, hope GWM LDV BYD can improve their sales services as well as after sales services to give confidence to existing and potential buyers.

I honestly don't know how can you achieve 7.5L unless you're cruising up or down the coast at 110 km/h most of the time. And yeah I think Chinese need to take the hint and fix what seems like little bits and pieces that prevent us from seeing their products as worthy competitors to e.g. Japanese just yet.

On the outback, check where the window switches are - On my forester above the side window adjustment dial is a button you can press to fold the mirrors in. On the higher level models it's automatic.

I have the switch and I can press it to fold the mirrors but it won't do it automatically

Dimitri. We have a Hyundai Santa fe at work. I drive to work in my H6 knowing it's 2024. I get in the Santa fe and I am taken back to Y2k. Having said that the Santa fe has an awesome engine and gearbox. FYI I average about 8L/100km in my H6 Lux. Keep up the good work :-)
@ValueCarsAU10 ай бұрын
How's the ride of Santa Fe compared to H6, honestly? All that I said in this video is true, but H6 is nowhere near as nice and polished on the ride quality as my new Subaru.

re: fuel consumption... the flat four will never be as economical as an inline four and the turbo in the H6 can have excellent economy is you are light on throttle... you are also dragging more weight AND the 4wd system so a the lighter FWD H6 will *generally* have better economy esp. hwy but if you hit the H6 hard then the turbo will pressurize more and then you will start to use a lot more petrol.
@ValueCarsAU10 ай бұрын
Yeah all makes sense and I'm not surprised by the higher fuel consumption, at all. Doesn't mean I like it though!

Forgot to say , new model of H6 just came out in China hope they improved the electronics
@ValueCarsAU10 ай бұрын
No telling when that "new model" would make it to our shores, if ever...
@jimmyp14339 ай бұрын
Dimitri.. Hopefully your consumption will improve.. Typically with the Subaru's , and some other cars for they do take a while from new before economy settles down . It'll likey never be as good , but would be reasonable to get into low 10s on avg
@ValueCarsAU9 ай бұрын
Good point and thank you mate. It's actually hovering around low 10s now, which is good news!

I dont know but my haval h6 2023 has 15,6 liter consumption, but i always drove in big car traffic...
@ValueCarsAU10 ай бұрын
Hard to believe 15+ litre consumption by a 2.0 L petrol engine... 😱 What are you doing with it? Towing a 3 tonne caravan through city traffic? 🤷♀️🤣

@cybermatstrikes7557 What update did you get and what has it changed. MY H6 is awesome except for the LKA and the dangerous ACC. Did the update fix either of these ???
@cybermatstrikes755710 ай бұрын
@@legogummybear5 got it just before Christmas at service, it wiped all my settings/config but softened LKA, adaptive cruise stopped braking on long bends at high speed. The assistance tech just became less obtrusive . I was driven nuts with how it used to yank steering, now more subtle

@@cybermatstrikes7557 Thanks. Where did you get it serviced? I will ring them to get the updated software version and make sure my local dealer does the same.

Interesting. Is it in Australia or somewhere else? Shame I can't test if for myself anymore, but that would be great for local AU GWM if they finally pulled their finger out and did it.

Ok. Some minor stuff, but which definitely makes things more convenient. How do the real solid stuff compare, like long term reliability, graceful ageing and things along that line?
@ValueCarsAU10 ай бұрын
I haven't had Subaru long enough to comment on those elements, but wouldn't be surprised if Subaru rated much higher in those aspects. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it, would I?

What is the difference between haval h6 premium and haval h6 lux. Other than lether seats? Premium is 3ooo$ cheaper than Lux
@ValueCarsAU4 ай бұрын
Surely the GWM website would tell you exactly what's included in base Premium vs what's added by LUX on top?

Dont get rid of it any time soon. The Aust govt is mandating that no NEW cars can be sold after 2025, that exceeds the euro CO² law ( over 200g CO² per km ). FYI , yours is 213g/km. A lot of favourites that aussies love , ie , ranger , hilux, dmax, tuscon, sportage etc etc , Cannot be sold as NEW, because they exceed the leftard limit. Maybe this year , i will go out and purchase a Prado and Kluger , because they and others, are guaranteed to go up in price, as only hybrid variants of the loved cars can be sold ( at a much higher cost naturally ) Go out and puchase a diesel ute ,landcruser or Lexus . Whatever it is , it will return you handsomely after.
@ValueCarsAU10 ай бұрын
Interesting information. Somehow I doubt that Subaru (and many others) will simply stop selling new cars then (or only sell PHEV etc). I'd purchase a Toyota if they 1). were available, 2). weren't so damn expensive for bare bones plastic, 3). if I didn't buy a new car on a novated lease just recently....
