This is the third video I have watched today enforcing how important protein is in our diet. Particularly as we get older, we don't metabolize protein like we did when we were young. When you cut calories, don't cut your protein.

I gained a lot of weight from a broke ankle back in 2016. I was immobile for 8 weeks and gained 50 pounds! Orthopedic surgeon told me my jogging days was over so after I got back on my feet I started rucking and doing farmer walks along with weight training. I have lost 55 pounds and gained a lot of muscle mass!

Gee folks, its easy to lose weight AT 63. Even working in the Florida heat and lifting outside on my patio.... i didn't lose weight until i cut out most carbs ....bread,cereals, cakes,cookies, ice-cream, brownies pasta. And also not stuffing myself so much when i eat breakfast, lunch and supper. Went from 205 to 173 . Im not 100 percent canivore but im as close as i will be. Problem is that we grew up in a society that LIVES TO EAT .... not .... EATS TO LIVE. I found out that your stomach actually shrinks when you lay off of those carbs . Snacks are one of the biggest problems for overweight people. You really don't need snacks.

I started doing what I considered intermittent fasting. I only eat between 10 and 6. And Ive changed to mainly health home prepared meals. I started going to the gym about 7 months ago and I'm working out 3 days on a split, then one day rest and repeat. Ive not lost but about 5 or 6 pounds, but ive lost 3 pants sizes. At 67 I look like I did in my early 30s, I worked out pretty heavy back then. Got my son's all into working out, their trying to catch up with the old man.😊

Right on. 62 Army vet nutrition, sleep, walking before walk, wt trng, sprints 2 x wks, swim are keys for me. Trng for Navy Seal Swim in NYC - swim from NJ to Eliis Island do 100 pushing and 20 pull-ups then swim to Manhattan and do another 100.pushups and 2p pull-ups. It is truly a lifestyle with a cheat meal on Saturdays.

So true. I lost 70 pounds and my libido went crazy. But now losing my fat is so damn hard in my late 50’ Nutrition should be number one and I’m the rare person who likes steady state cardio. But yeah gonna start the weight training again it’s awesome

Is shredded nonfat cheese one of the processed foods you shouldn’t eat? And i know cheerios is not good but is it okay if i mix dry cheerios with shredded nf cheese, egg white powder, flax seed powder and lofat peanut butter powder or is that way too processed stuff?

Cutting calories only causes you to lose weight - not fat. It is the foods you eat that decide how much fat will be in your body.

Cardio does work in conjunction with lifting weights. I have a helix machine that I go on for 50 minutes, two to three days per week, in conjunction with three days of full body weight work outs and I am only 4 pounds or so to my goal of 165. Lost 6 pounds in the last two months with this and watching what I eat but not starving myself. So, I disagree with his stance on cardio.

Weight loss is so contradictory, just like religion, you watch one KZbin channel, and one guy is promoting walking by increasing your steps between 5000 to 10, 000 steps to begin to lose weight, including fat loss Now, Mark is saying walking is a waste of time for losing fat or weight loss compared to fat marathon participants, but there is no way of knowing if their nutrition is on point In my opinion, that's a bad comparison. Right now I have spinal stenosis started back walking on the treadmill but after 2 days muscle spasms hit me and right now I am on the side line and don't even think of weight lifting in my condition with carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my arms . It's really hard over 60 when your body needs medical attention, but determination will win Where is the magic pill Guy's 💊 🙂 👍

At 64 5'10 173.... and lost 35 pounds.... it was because of my diet and nothing else. I've work physically hard for years and lifted weights for years all outside in the Florida heat. It wasn't until i went almost full canivore did i lose the weight. I do eat some carbs but no bread, cereals, pies, cakes, cookies, ice-cream, brownies or pasta. I don't even eat fruits or vegetables. Except for 1 small potato a day and a little Bushes baked beans. Honey and milk in my coffee. And only water and a little milk to drink.
